After the declaration of BLAT result 2020, the authorities will issue the counselling call letters to the shortlisted candidates. The details of counselling of BLAT 2020 will be communicated through the result and call letters. The candidates will be called in the order of the rank secured by them in the BLAT 2020 merit list. The detailed BLAT counselling 2020 process is explained below.
Step 1 - Fill the online preference form
The shortlisted candidates will receive the BLAT preference form in online mode, at the admission portal of BHU UET. The candidate will have to fill the preference form by logging in to their registered account using the registration id and password. One will have to enter the following details in the online preference form.
Honours Subject - Name
Choice of course
Location preference - Only if the course runs at more than one college
Seat type - Regular or paid seat
Candidates must note that the details filled in the online preference form must be correct and no section should be left vacant.
Step 2 - Reporting at the BLAT 2020 counselling venue
Candidates will have to report at the counselling venue on the prescribed date and time and mark their attendance. After marking the attendance, candidates can discuss the course details with the teachers and submit their preference form along with the prescribed documents at the verification desk.
Verification - The authorities will verify the validity of the documents and information provided by the candidates. Thus, candidates must submit the original documents along with the photocopies of each document and certificates. Candidates will need to submit the following documents at the counselling venue.
Migration certificate (if applicable)
High School certificate
Intermediate certificate or equivalent certificate.
Mark sheets of High School & Intermediate.
Mark sheet of the qualifying examination.
BLAT admit card 2020
SC/ST/OBC Certificate for claiming the reservation
Certificate(s) in support of a claim for 'Sports Seats'.
Certificate of being the son/daughter of a permanent in-service in BHU
If the candidate is provisionally admitted, he/she must collect the provisional admission letter from the officials present at the venue on the next day.
The provisional admission letter will contain the following details.
Name of course - BA LLB
The amount of the admission fee
Deadline to submit the admission fee
Candidates will have to pay the admission fee within the specified time. The amount of application fee can be paid in the following modes.
Online payment by using a credit card/debit card or net banking. The payment gateway will be made available at the admission portal of BLAT 2020.
Offline fee payment, at the fees counters.
Once the course fee is submitted, candidates must submit the payment receipt at the counselling venue as proof of payment. However, those opting for the offline mode of payment will not be required to submit the payment receipt.
After each round of the counselling of BLAT 2020, a merit list will be released containing the names of the shortlisted candidates. There will be a computerized BLAT seat allotment and the seats will be allotted considering the merit cum preference criteria.
What after the BLAT 2020 counselling?
Once the BLAT counselling 2020 is over, the successful candidates will be allotted hostels by considering the following criteria.
The distance of the place of the correspondence address from the university (20 points)
Marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance test (80min)
The counselling of BLAT 2020 be conducted tentatively in the first week of July 2020.

The eligibility criteria in tetms of age for BHU UET 2020 states that an applicant who is applying for Arts, Commerce and Science courses should not be more than 22 years of age as on 1, July 2020 ie the date of birth of the candidate should fall on or after 1 July 1998.
