CLAT 2015 candidates have approached Allahabad High Court demanding release of CLAT question papers citing discrepancies in the most coveted law entrance exam. CLAT test taker Aditya Dua along with 10 others has petitioned in the High Court seeking release of questions paper of the online entrance exam conducted on May 10. Subsequently, to the petitioned filed on May 25, the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad has also sought repsonse from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University in this matter within four weeks.

CLAT Result was declared on May 20 for over 39686 candidates who had appeared for the national level law entrance exam conducted by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU). CLAT 2015 is the basis for admission to 2164 seats of BA LLB across 16 NLUs in India.

Few candidates have alleged that CLAT 2015 questions carried questions from previous years' questions of other entrance exam. Whereas there are some allegations by another group of candidates questioning authenticity of the results and rank published by RMLNLU on May 20.

Though CLAT 2015 officials had earlier clarified that 1 question was wrong in CLAT 2015 paper and 1 bonus mark was awarded to all candidates irrespective of their attempts to that particular question.

Subsequently, the exam authority also released the OMR Response Sheet and Answer Keys.

However, candidates doubt RMLNLU claim that only one question was incorrect. The social media is abuzz with speculations that many questions in CLAT 2015 paper were wrong.

Careers360 talked to CLAT 2015 Convener, Dr. J.D. Gangwar on this issue and the Convener said that there is no practice of releasing CLAT question papers over the year.  He also said that he is still not aware of any petition regarding this in the High Court.

He further added that CLAT 2015 Committee has already sent the OMR Response Sheets to CLAT 2015 test-takers at their respective mails. The CLAT 2015 Convener said, “We have sent CLAT 2015 OMR Response Sheets and Answer Key to every individual candidate who appeared in the online exam on May 10, on their respective CLAT 2015 Accounts on May 23. Moreover, we have also marked the single wrong question that appeared in the question paper and clarified the marking scheme.”

“If needed CLAT 2015 Committee will also be providing the Question Papers but it will be happening for the very first time in the history of CLAT since its inception in 2008,” added Dr. J.D. Gangwar.

As per the official information, Petition No. Writ-C/32024/2015 has been filed in Allahabad High Court under the category of Writ Petition in Education Matters-The All India Council for Technical Education Act, 1987. There is no such information from the High Court regarding directions to RMLNLU to provide question papers and answer keys to the candidates, as the next listing is likely to be scheduled on July 9, 2015.

After the CLAT Results were declared on May 20, the counselling process began from May 21. The CLAT counselling is scheduled to be over by July 6, 2015.

hello iam preparing for clat 2020 I have a doubt that someone is said to me that national law institute university (NLIU) has not offering state obc domicile reservations this year if someone has know this please tell

Sanjanaleekha 18th Feb, 2020

Hi there,

NLUI, Bhopal takes admission to its 5 year BA.LLB course on the basis of CLAT scores and it has its own seat matrix and seats reserved for students having domicile of Madhya Pradesh i.e. state domicile students.

To answer your question, as per the latest admission brochure which is uploaded by the university, it is offering a total of 07 seats out of a total of 122 seats in its BA.LLB course to MP State OBC students so it is not true that the university is not offering reservation to state domicile OBC students.

You can access the detailed brochure on the provided link for your reference, https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2020/nlus/brochure/NLIU.pdf

what is the procedure of getting admission after clat ranking

Sanjanaleekha 18th Feb, 2020

Hi there,

After you get your CLAT scores, you will be given an All India Rank based on that scores, after you get the rank you will need to take p-art in counselling round where all the participating National Law Universities will declare their individual cut off list and based on this cut off list you will be allotted a college after this you will have to either lock in the college you have been allotted or continue to take part in the counselling process. If you decide to lock in the seat then you will have to pay the required admission fees to that particular NLU and get your required documents physically verified.
