CLAT Admit Card 2023 - The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will conduct the CLAT 2023 exam today, December 18, 2022 from 2 pm to 4 pm. How to Download CLAT 2023 Admit Card?

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to download their admit cards.

• Visit the official website of NLU Consortium - consortiumofnlus.ac.in

• Click on CLAT 2023 and open the registration portal

• Login using mobile number and password

• Fill the admission preferences to NLUs before downloading Admit Card for the CLAT 2023

• Click on CLAT admit card link given on the dashboard, after filling the admission preferences

• The admit card will be displayed on the screen

• Download and take a printout of the admit card for the examination.

How to Correct Discrepancies in CLAT 2023 Admit Card?

CLAT 2023 Admit Card - Important Items to Carry on Exam Day

Candidates appearing for CLAT 2023 should carry the following items to their examination hall.

CLAT 2023 Exam Day Instructions

The admit card will mention the CLAT exam instructions. Candidates should read all the instructions carefully before going to the exam centre. They must follow the test centre rules and regulations while appearing in the exam. Some of the important exam guidelines are as mentioned below.

CLAT Exam Reporting time

• Candidates will be permitted to enter the test centre premises from 01:00 pm onwards and are to be seated at the respective seats in the examination hall by 01:30 pm.

• Candidates who arrive later than 2:15 pm will not be permitted into the examination hall.

• Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall before 04:00 pm.

• The test will commence sharp at 2 pm on December 18, 2022.

• PwDs/ SAPs should carry their original disability certificate to the test centre.

CLAT 2023 - Permitted items

• CLAT 2023 admit card (In case the photograph is not clear on the admit card, bring a self-attested photograph)

• A Government ID proof

• Black or blue ballpoint pen

• Transparent water bottle

• Face mask

• An analogue watch

• PwDs/ SAPs should carry their original Disability Certificate

Attendance: Write the QB number, and the OMR sheet number, and sign in the space/column provided in the attendance sheet circulated during the test

Items not allowed to CLAT 2023 exam centre

• Mobile phone

• Calculator

• Smartwatches

• Any other electronic devices, paper, notes

• Camera

Baggage centre

• The consortium will not be responsible for providing baggage centres at the exam centre. It will be the responsibility of the candidates to keep their belongings safe. Candidates are therefore advised to avoid carrying unnecessary items to their exam hall.

Question booklet and OMR sheet

• Question booklet (QB) will contain 150 multiple choice questions and 2 blank pages for rough work. No additional sheet(s) of paper will be supplied for rough work.

• Enter your admit card number on the first page of the QB at the beginning of the test

• Answer the questions in the separate carbonised Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet supplied along with the QB using black or blue ball point pen only.

• Candidates can retain the QB and the candidate’s copy of the OMR sheet after the test.

CLAT marking scheme

• Every right answer secures one mark. Every wrong answer results in the deduction of 0.25 marks.

• There will be no deductions for unanswered questions.

Bell timings

Candidates should note the bell timings carefully while appearing for the examination. It will help them keep a track of the time inside the exam hall.

1:30 P.M.	Long Bell	Permitting the entry of Candidates inside the hall/ classroom
1:50 P.M.	Short Bell	- Distribution of the sealed Envelopes - Announcement of Instructions by the Invigilators
2:00 P.M.	Long Bell	Commencement of the test. The candidates can open the sealed envelopes
2:15 P.M.	Short Bell	No candidate will be allowed to enter the test centre after this time
3:00 P.M.	Short Bell	Marks the completion of 60 (sixty) minutes of the test
3:50 P.M.	Short Bell	Warning Bell to indicate that 10 (ten) minutes are remaining for the test to end
4:00 P.M.	Long Bell	Marks the Completion of the test. No candidate will be allowed to write anything on the OMR Response Sheet/Question Booklet after this Bell

Guidelines for PWDs and Specially abled persons released by consortium

• Persons with a benchmark disability will get an extra time of 40 minutes in addition to the allotted time. The total time that PwDs/SAPs will be provided for the CLAT 2023 will therefore be 2 hours and 40 minutes.
• PwDs/ SAPs should carry their original Disability Certificate to the Test Centre on the day of the CLAT 2023.
• PwDs/ SAPs shall make arrangements for their own scribe and bear the associated costs.
• Pwds/ SAPs who wish to avail the facility of a scribe are required to email the duly filled proformas given below to the coordinator supervising the city in which they have been allotted a test centre by 5 pm on December 15, 2022. Any requests received after 5 pm on December 15, 2022 will not be considered.

CLAT 2023 Exam Centres

The consortium will conduct the CLAT 2023 in 127 test centres in 23 States and 2 Union Territories across India. The exam centre name and address will be printed on the admit cards of the candidates. So, they must check the location of the exam centre and ensure that they reach the centre as per the scheduled time. The list of exam centres is given below.

After release of admit card of CLAT 2023, candidates should focus on CLAT syllabus and exam pattern and check that nothing is left for preparation. Candidates should identify the overlapping topics and prepare them according to their weightage in the examination.

Important Tips for Appearing in CLAT 2023 Exam

Candidates appearing in CLAT 2023 should note the following points.

• Avoid studying in the last hour - Candidates should avoid studying anything new on exam day. It may create confusion or increase nervousness.

• Time management - The test paper for CLAT 2023 will be very lengthy. Around 28-30 comprehension passages will be given. Therefore, time management is the key to success. In previous years, many students could not complete the CLAT question paper due to want of time, even when they knew the answers.

• Solve enough CLAT mock tests before during the last few days. It will help the candidates become exam ready.

• Focus on accuracy - In the CLAT exam, one should focus on accuracy in solving problems. If the answers are confusing, it is better not to attempt and move to the next question.

• Try to score 100+ marks. Even though 90+ marks would be a safe score, a 100+ score will increase the chances of getting admission to top NLUs.
