CLAT Application Form 2023: Registration (Closed), Application Process, Documents Required, Fees
CLAT Application Form 2023 - The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has closed the CLAT 2023 registration form on November 18, 2022. Candidates could change the test centre preferences till November 20, 2022. The direct link to access the CLAT login 2023 is given below. Candidates could fill the application form on the CLAT official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT 2023 registration fee is Rs. 4,000 for general category candidates and Rs. 3,500 for SC, ST and BPL candidates. In addition to this, candidates were required to pay Rs. 500 for question papers. However, the official question papers of CLAT and sample papers can also be downloaded free of cost from the direct link given below. CLAT 2023 exam will be held on December 18, 2022, in offline mode for admission to 5-year LLB and LLM programmes offered by 22 national law universities and over 60 affiliated law schools.

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2023
Candidates should ensure that they meet the CLAT 2023 eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. A brief overview of the eligibility criteria is mentioned below.
UG CLAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria - Candidates should have passed Class 12 with at least 45% marks (40% in the case of SC and ST candidates) from a recognized board or institute.
PG CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Candidates should have passed LLB (3-year LLB or 5-year LLB) from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% in the case of SC and ST candidates).
CLAT Application Form 2023 - Important Documents Required
Candidates who want to apply for CLAT 2023 should keep the following documents handy:
A scanned copy of front facing passport size recent photograph with a plain background
Scanned signature of the candidate
Category certificate for SC/ST/OBC or PwD candidates
BPL certificate (if applicable)

Besides, candidates should also have Class 10th and Class 12th (if available), and LLB graduation certificates (for CLAT LLM only). They will need to provide the information from these documents. However, the original documents and certificates are required only at the time of admission and CLAT counselling, failing which they will not be offered admission.

Open the CLAT 2023 portal and click on the new registration
Fill CLAT registration form by entering your contact number, email ID and name and submit
Enter the OTP received on your mobile number and email ID to complete registration.

After registration, candidates should login and access the application form of CLAT 2023. The application process is divided into five sections - personal details, communication details, educational details, preferences, and reservations.

Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature as specified
Enter personal details such as name, date of birth, parents' name, gender, nationality, residential status, and NRI category status (if applicable)
After filling all details, click on the “Next” option and move to the communication section

Candidates have to provide the following information in the communication section;
Permanent address
Correspondence address
Email ID and mobile number
Save the details and click on the Next option

Candidates applying for UG CLAT 2023 will have to provide the following information.

Enter Test Centre Preferences
CLAT 2023 will be conducted in around 131 exam centres across the country. Candidates can select any three exam centres in the order of preference. Note that the allotment of exam centres will be based on the candidate’s preference and availability of seats in the preferred exam centre. The list of test cities is given below.

Except for NLU Jodhpur, all other national law universities offer domicile reservation. Candidates who are eligible to apply under domicile category seats should select the reservation status. They will need to upload a domicile certificate in PDF format, issued by a competent authority. The reservation policy of NLUs is as mentioned below.

CLAT Application Form 2022: Correction Window
The consortium will also provide a correction window for CLAT 2023, soon after the closing of the application form of CLAT 2023. The application correction window may be provided for two to three days during which the candidates can review their CLAT registration form and make necessary changes.

CLAT Admit Card 2023
The NLU Consortium will issue the CLAT 2023 admit card to such candidates who have registered for CLAT and complete the application process by submitting the registration fee. The CLAT admit card will be available for download a few days before the examination. Candidates will have to use their application number and password to download the CLAT admit card. It is a mandatory document for appearing in the examination and for admission to the allotted NLUs during the counselling process.

Candidates should be aware that there won't be any questions posed beyond the passage provided. Each of these chapters will include a series of questions that will test your general knowledge and awareness of relevant current events. A few pointers for preparing for the CLAT in current affairs
1.Take a look at the test from last year.
Understanding the structure of the general knowledge section of the CLAT is crucial after learning about it. 40–50 multiple-choice questions are present in this section. Verify the CLAT test questions from previous years to get a sense of the questions that were asked. Start practising using the available offline and online CLAT sample questions from previous years after you have a general idea of the format. You can get better grades by answering questions correctly and by being aware of the trend.
2. Keep yourself updated and practise regularly
Success in anything requires practise and consistency. If you want to ace all the general knowledge questions, be sure to stay up to date on current affairs and keep your knowledge current. By studying the topic for a few days, you cannot successfully answer general knowledge questions. The knowledge must be acquired gradually (at least for a year). Along with responding and practising questions, make sure you stay up to date with global current events. Keep up with the news and read the newspaper daily to keep current.
3. Take CLAT practise exams
Do you wish to understand how the CLAT test actually feels? Utilize practise tests! Attending practise exams will increase your accuracy and entrance preparation while also boosting your confidence in your ability to pass the test.
Many centres provide test series. Numerous internet platforms offer practise examinations. Choose a mode that is convenient for you. Take practise tests for each subject so you can determine your general knowledge subject strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, try to deliver at least ten full mock exams to get a feel for the actual exam.
4.Select your study materials carefully.
