What are the Lock, Upgrade and Withdrawal options?

Lock – The ‘Lock’ option confirms admission of the candidate to the allotted NLU. After exercising this option, the candidate shall not be considered for further upgrade to any other NLU of choice in case of any vacancy arising at subsequent stage during counselling process.

Upgrade – This option offers you an opportunity to upgrade your allotted seat to a NLU of higher preference via subsequent allotment list. Therefore the option helps the candidate in securing a seat without locking it for a certain NLU, rather with a chance of upgrading it to the NLU of next higher preference in the next allotment rounds.

Withdrawal – Exercising this option, a candidate can withdraw his candidature from the admission process. In such case, the candidate will forfeit the right to be considered eligible for admissions and therefore the counselling committee will refund the remaining amount paid by the candidate against the counselling fee after deducting a certain amount from the same.

For the CLAT (LLM)PG , minimum requirement is LLB with 55%. This 55% is the aggregate of all 3 /5 years course or 55% in last year will do ?

Mahima Student Expert 22nd Aug, 2019
Hey.
As per the eligibility criteria laid out for admission in the course of LLM through CLAT PG you need to score a minimum aggregate of 55% in your 3 year LLB degree or 5 year integrated law course from an institute recognised by the Bar council of India. This means that your aggregate for this is calculated considering your marks in all the total 3/5 years which should be more than 55%. Only the last year's/ semesters aggregate is NOT considered. Your overall aggregate for all 5 or 3 years will be.

Clat PG Score card is valid for one year, Does it means I can take admission in that particular year or Next year ,Please clarify

Mahima Student Expert 17th Aug, 2019
Hey Vaibhav.
Your scores in CLAT PG will be valid for 1 year only. Which means it you take CLAT in 2019 then you can take admission using this score in the session beginning in 2019 only. In the next session of 2020 these scores will not be accepted, then admissions will be based on scores of 2020 only. So with 2019 scores you can appear in CLAT counselling of 2019 for admission in NLUs however it is scheduled. And other Private colleges that would accept those ranks for admission in that particular year only. These scores will not be valid for admision in 2020.
Best of luck
