CLAT PG 2016 Eligibility Criteria – If you wish to seek admissions in National Law Universities (NLUs) for pursuing LLM programme through CLAT PG 2016, you need to have the fulfill the following criteria including academic qualifications , qualifying marks and age –
You need to possess a 3-year LLB degree or a 5-year integrated LLB degree if equivalent LLB degree from a recognized University
You also need to secure at least 55% marks in aggregate of the total marks or at least 50% marks, if belonging to SC/ST categories in the qualifying LLB degree exam
As per CLAT PG Eligibility conditions, there is no age limit prescribed for applying and appearing in the post graduate common law admission test for NLUs.
Who else are eligible for CLAT PG 2016?
Candidates who are appearing in the final year of their LLB degree programme or any other equivalent examination will also be considered eligible for applying for CLAT PG 2016, subjected to minimum marks required for the common law admission test
Candidates will have to submit their proof of qualifying and mark-sheet at the time of admission
Common Law Admission Test (CLAT PG) is the national level law post graduate entrance exam conducted every year for shortlisting candidates for as many as 604seats distributed among the 17 participating NLUs. Last year as many as 5514 candidates had registered for CLAT PG out of which 4863 candidates appeared for the post graduate common law admission test of NLUs.

Basing on previous trends, we can say that around 6000 to 6500 students (approximately) apply every year for the CLAT PG exam for admissions into LLM course.
This year, for CLAT PG, there are 742 LLM seats allotted. Rest of the students can take admission into private institutions based on this score.

Yes , you can use your residential certificate for filling application form.
But you need your domicile certificate to claim the benefit of reservation, as required by the respective NLU at the time of admission.
