National Law University Delhi has invited applications for AILET 2015 in an online mode. Candidates who are interested in filling AILET 2015 Application Forms need to go through the application procedure before filling in the online applications.

How to fill AILET 2015 Online Application Formis a step-by-step guide for filling in the applications without any mistake and hassle-free. Guide to fill AILET 2015 Application Formwill help you to fill in the online applications by following the below given steps.

Applicants need the following before proceeding to fill in AILET 2015 Application Form

  • Valid E-Mail Address

  • Valid Mobile Number

  • Scanned Copy of Photograph (in .jpg/.gif/.bmp format) not more than 150kb

Candidates will need to follow the instructions and Apply Online for AILET 2015 Application Form.

AILET 2015 Applications have begun from January 1, 2015 and can be filled in till April 11, 2015. NLU Delhi is conducting AILET 2015 on May 3, 2015.

How to fill AILET 2015 Online Application Form– Proceed below to fill in the application –

Step 1 – Registration for AILET 2015


Candidates will need to fill in various details including their E-Mail Address, Password, Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Address, City, State, Country, Pin Code and Mobile Number to register for AILET 2015. After filling in the details, they will have to check in the box provided for authorization and click on ‘Registration’ button to proceed to the next step.

Step 2 – Application Locker


In the second step, you will be redirected to ‘Application Locker’ page, where you can view your filled in details during AILET 2015 Registration. In this step, you can either change the filled-in details, if you see any mistake in the information furnished by you by clicking on ‘Change’ button or can proceed to next step by clicking on ‘Confirm’ button.

Step 3 – Choose College


In this step, you’ll have to choose ‘Click here to Apply – National Law University’ for choosing your institute.

Step 4 – Choose Course


In the fourth step, you need to choose a course from the drop down menu and click ‘Apply Now’ button. You’ll need to choose B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) course among them.

Step 5 – Application Form


Candidates need to proceed to the next step for filling in rest of the details of AILET 2015 Application Form, including Address for Communication and Education Details.


Next, you need to furnish Details of Parents too and then check the three boxes provided under ‘Declaration’ and click on ‘Save/Continue to Payment’ button, in order to proceed to the payment step.

Step 5 – Payment


Candidates will need to remit AILET 2015 Application fee at this step. You’ll need to check the box for B.A., LL.B (Hons.) programme, then choose the payment option; either Online Payment or Offline Payment and then click on ‘Proceed’ button.

Step 5 – Payment Methods – Offline/Online

Offline Method


Cash Deposit at Post Offices – The above window shall be made available to you, where you’ll need to choose a state from the drop down menu. As soon as you select a state from the menu, you’ll get a list of all post offices for the particular state. Now you need to click on ‘Check for slip’ button.

You’ll receive a challan copy, which you need to take a print out and deposit the required cash at the designated post office.

Online Method


Online Payment – You’ll need to choose any of the online facilities, either Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking and after filling in the details, click on ‘Pay Now’ button for paying the prescribed AILET 2015 fees.

Step 5 – Final Submission of AILET 2015 Application
After the payment has been received by the bank/post office, you’ll receive confirmation at your registered mail id. You’ll need to take a print out of the acknowledgement slip from their mail id.

Congratulations! You have successfully applied for AILET 2015 Application Form.

Previous year cut-off for AILET has been as follows;

  • General-72.75
  • Scheduled Caste-49.75
  • Scheduled Tribe-50
  • Persons with Disability-35.25
  • Kashmiri Migrants-35.25

The Syllabus consists for five sections such as General Knowledge, Reasoning, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics and English.

You can go through the following books;

For English, Wren and Martin is the best grammar books to build the basic concepts, for Vocabulary there's Norman Lewis Word Power Made Easy, you can also practice through Objective General English by SP Bakshi, this book is great for evaluating your progress.

For GK, go through newspaper such as The Hindu or The Indian Express for dynamic part, you can also go through monthly magazines such as Pratiyogita Darpan and static part you may refer Lucent's GK or there are sites such as Jagran Josh, GKToday which you can use.

For Reasoning, you can use Analytical Reasoning by MK Pandey or Verbal and Non-verbal reasoning by RK Agarwal.

For Legal Aptitude, you can use a book named Legal Aptitude for CLAT and other exxaminations by AP Bharadwaj.

For Mathematics, you can go through NCERT books for foundation, and any of the among RK Agarwal's Quantitative Aptitude, M Tyra's Magical Maths.

The CLAT exam syllabus has changed this year and shift to more aptitude side then remembering things.The no.of questions reduced from 200 to 120/125 but the time duration will be the same that is 2 hours.

Here are few tips for preparation you must follow to get a good score without coaching:-

English: Vocabulary questions will be asked. Word Power Made Easy is the book you can use to improve your vocabulary.

High School Grammar and Composition ( by Wren and Martin)It is a book  to improve the grammar skills.

GK: Question on current affairs will be asked. Read newspaper for CURRENT G.K. than trying to grasp all info at once. Some of the newspaper sources which you can use to prepare this section are The Hindu, Financial Express, and The Economist. You can also use some other apps like Inshorts etc for current affairs.Mathematics: Only Data based questions will be asked. Like you have some information and questions on basis of that information.Logical Reasoning: Data tables, Data Charts, Bar Diagrams, Pie Charts, Graphs, Data Comparison and Analysis. These are some of the topics on which you can expect questions.

AILET has extended the window to fill the registration forms from 15th May 2020 to 30th June 2020 and the exam will be conducted in August.

To prepare for the exam, you must follow some tips such as

Prepare short notes of topics and revise them regularly.

Practice sample papers, mock tests and previous year papers.

can I use photocopy of my caste certificate in filling application form of AILET?

NLU Delhi has notified that is waiving off the requirement to upload scanned copy of category/caste certificate at the time of submission of AILET 2020 application form. The candidate will instead have to produce the category/caste certificate in original along with a self-attested copy at the tie of reporting for admission.
