The law examination, CLAT 2019 scheduled to be conducted on May 26, 2019, by National Law University Odisha, Cuttack in offline mode. The duration is two hours and carries 200 questions from five sections namely, Elementary Mathematics, English, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. Each question carries one mark and there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

How to prepare for CLAT 2019 along with boards – Apt time to start

This is a dilemma for all the law aspirants that when to start preparing for CLAT 2019. The apt time to start CLAT 2019 preparation  is having over nine to 10 months in hands so that you can not only complete the CLAT 2019 syllabus, but have enough time for revision and practice as well. Moreover, there is no particular time to start the preparation as it is rightly said, “It is never too late start anything’’. However, it is also a thumb rule that the earlier you start, the better you end up. So, it is always better to start as early as possible. 

How to start preparing for CLAT 2019

Taking tips for preparation from others is always good but at the same time devising your own strategies is better. In strategising your own tricks and tips, you tend to prepare well knowing the areas of weaknesses and strengths. To start the journey of preparation, it is advised to the candidates to read the topper interviews, look into the syllabus of the exam and then the previous year’s question papers to get an idea of the same. 

What to prepare for CLAT 2019 
Coming to what to prepare for CLAT 2019, it is always recommended to look into the topics which are new to you and at the same time tough for you. CLAT toppers suggest that if a law aspirant is good in Logical reasoning subject, s/he should not worry much about that, rather than start preparations for the subject, s/he is weak in. By preparing with a standard plan, candidates will not have to worry about how to prepare for CLAT 2019 along with boards. 

How to balance CLAT and Board preparation simultaneously
Managing time and having dedication towards cracking CLAT at one go is the mantra to be a successful test taker. Candidates are advised to complete majority of the topics by November or December. Then January onwards you will have ample of time for revision. 

Aspirants are also advised to start their preparation from the initial months of class 12th and then divide their time between board preparation and CLAT.

  • Never stop yourself from socialising. Set a time for the same. 
  • Divide your time between the less important topics and the more important ones. 
  • Stress should be kept aside as it makes the things worst than better. 
  • Set targets for preparation. For instance, if you have decided to complete a chapter or topic then do it for sure on the decided date and day. 
  • Being continuously in stress over how to prepare for CLAT 2019 along with boards can also change the whole preparation enthusiasm leading to lack of confidence. Therefore, tension should be kept aside. 
  • Mock tests are important for the law aspirants of the Common Law Admission Test. At the same time, analyzing the tests and then starting with the next is considered to be an intelligent act.
