Candidates opting for BA LLB or BBA LLB courses will have to pay HPNLU Shimla fees for each semester, along with charges for several other heads such as examination fees, hostel fees, internet charges etc. The university has provided both annual and semester-wise HPNLU fees details. At postgraduate level, the university offers LLM course which is of one-year duration and will be divided into two semesters. The fee structure of HPNLU Shimla for LLM course is more or less similar to the BA LLB course, except that the tuition fee is considerably lower than the undergraduate course. The annual HPNLU LLM fees stands at around 1.71 Lakh per year. The details are given below.
There are a total of 60 seats in BA LLB course and a similar number of seats are also available for BBA LLB course. The total seats are further distributed among various categories, as per the reservation policy of the NLU. The details of HPNLU seats are given below.

For the LLM course, the university is offering a total of 40 seats out of which 30 seats are available for unreserved category and the remaining ones are reserved. The details are given in a table.
Admissions to the HP National Law University Shimla are offered on the basis of CLAT 2020. Candidates need to fill CLAT application form 2020 in online mode and appear in the national level entrance test. After the conduct of CLAT 2020, candidates will be shortlisted and will be asked to appear in the counselling and seat allotment process.
