LSAT India Result 2023 - Law School Admission Council (LSAC) will declare the LSAT India January 2023 result on February 10, 2023, in online mode. Candidates will be able to download their LSAT India scorecard 2023 for the January session by logging into the admission portal at discoverlaw.in. The LSAT India result is released in the form of a scaled score. It carries the details such as total scaled score, score band, percentile achieved in LSAT India 2023. Candidates can use the LSAT India result report card for admission to several private law colleges affiliated to the Law School Admission Council in India. The scorecard of LSAT India 2023 is expressed in terms of scaled score, score band and percentile. The meanings of these terms are given below.
The LSAT—India scaled score is based on the number of questions that candidates have answered correctly. It is an estimate of the actual proficiency of the candidate. The difficulty of LSAT India may vary from session to session, and therefore, the raw scores obtained by the candidates in various sessions are not comparable. For this reason, The raw score is converted to an LSAT—India scaled score that ranges from 420 to 480, with 420 being the lowest possible score and 480 as the highest possible score.
By using the scaled scores of LSAT India 2023, candidates/universities can compare the various scores during the admission process.

It represents the approximate proficiency of the candidates for the skills tested in the LSAT India 2023. The actual proficiency of the candidates can be slightly higher or slightly lower than that reflected by the LSAT India score.
The percentile reflects the percentage of candidates for the course whose scores were lower than the candidate’s score. For example, if a candidate has received 90% percentile, this indicates that the candidate has scored higher than 90% of candidates who took LSAT India for the same programme. However, the candidates can not compare the LSAT India percentile of one programme (5-year LLB) to the percentile of 3 Year LL.B programme.

As per LSAC, the scores of LSAT India 2023 will remain valid for 5 years. However, the exam authorities have advised the candidates to check the law colleges they are considering about whether they will accept the scores or not.

The LSAC will share the scorecards of the candidates with the universities and colleges that are accepting the scores. Candidates will also get the scorecard copies through their login. They wil have to apply for admission to the law colleges separately using their LSAT India scores. These universities/colleges will then prepare a merit list based on the scores of all applicants and shortlist the candidates for admissions.
