ONGC Recruitment through CLAT 2019 – The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation has declared the cutoff of ONGC Recruitment through CLAT 2019 for the various categories. The ONGC Recruitment through CLAT 2019 cutoff thus represents the minimum scores one has to score in his or her category to land the job of Assistant Legal Adviser (E1 Level). The candidates appearing for CLAT 2019 for LLM programmes are eligible to apply for ONGC recruitment through CLAT. With the release of official notification of ONGC, the number of vacancies for the positions of Assistant Legal Advisers (E1 Level) have been announced for ONGC recruitment through CLAT 2019. The candidates had to fill the application form of ONGC (CLAT 2019) recruitment, separately. To join ONGC as Assistant Legal Advisers (E1 Level), one had to appear for the Common Law Admission Test held on May 26, 2019. The applicants who are practicing as advocates for minimum three years will be preferred across all categories for ONGC Assistant Legal Adviser Recruitment 2019.

  1. Candidates applying for ONGC Assistant Legal Adviser (E1 Level) Recruitment through CLAT need to have a valid email id, a working mobile number and an authentic CLAT 2019 Application Number.

  2. All the candidates need to apply through proper channel and in online mode.

  3. However, the fees of requisite amount need to be paid only offline using SBI Bank Challan.

  4. Candidates need to keep a copy of their filled-in ONGC Law Recruitment Application Form with Acknowledge Number, for any future correspondence with the ONGC.

  1. The candidates filling application form of ONGC Recruitment for Assistant Legal Adviser (E1 Level) will have to appear for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for LLM programme on May 26, 2019.

  2. The ONGC will then shortlist candidates for the interview round on the basis of CLAT 2019 Scores.

  3. Only those candidates who meet the cut off of ONGC recruitment through CLAT will be called for the interview round.

  4. Candidates may note that only the scores of CLAT 2019 will be taken into account for shortlisting of candidates.

  1. The ONGC offers relaxation to the reserved category candidates in accordance with the Government Rules and Regulations.

  2. The candidates claiming relaxation under the reserved categories need to provide their applicable certificates at the time of document verification.

  3. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying any application fee for ONGC Recruitment Assistant Legal Adviser (E1 Level) 2019.

The eligibility criteria of CLAT 2020 for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate courses are different from those required for undergraduate courses. Check the points below to find out whether you meet the prescribed CLAT eligibility criteria for LLM program.

  • Qualifying exam: Aspirants applying for admission to the LLM program needs to hold a valid bachelor’s degree in law or any equivalent exam. Both five-year integrated and three-year law degrees are accepted.

  • Marks in qualifying marks: Aspirants need to score at least 55% in the qualifying degree. SC/ST category candidates will be granted 5% relaxation in minimum marks.

  • Age limit: Like in CLAT UG, there is no age limit for appearing in CLAT 2020 for PG program as well.

Where I get 2020 clat pg syllabus?

The official CLAT PG syllabus will be released along with the official notification in the last week of december 2019. To give you a gist of the syllabus, the no. Of questions asked will be around 100. The syllabus will cover constitutional law, international law, criminal law, intellectual property law, Jurisprudence etc.

The Common Law Admission Test(CLAT) is conducted in English language only. The test is conducted in an online mode comprising of 200 questions including 5 different sections. The duration of the test is 2hrs. Negative marking is also present in this test.

NUSRL, Ranchi will officially release CLAT syllabus tentatively during the 3rd or last weeks of December 2019. But based on previous years' syllabus, this answer is being written. CLAT LLM syllabus has various sections such as Constitutional Law, Law of Torts, International Law, Jurisprudence, Intellectual Property law, Law of Contracts and Criminal Law. Constitutional law refers to the rights states and implemented in the Federal and State Constitutions. Law of Torts in common law jurisdictions is a civil wrong that causes a claimant to suffer loss or harm resulting in legal liability for the person who is accused of committing the act.

Now Constitutional laW carries 50 marks and so books by VN Shukla, Brij Kishore Sharma and JN Pandey are must reads.

For Jurisprudence, books by VD Mahajan and Mani Tripathi are the best in the market. This is a tough subject, carries 50 marks and so try checking guides available on this subject in the local book stores as well.
