Academic Qualification for Panjab University LLB 2015 – Candidates applying for the three year law programmes need to possess the following as mentioned under Eligibility Criteria of Panjab University 2015 –
Possess Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or Appearing in the final year of Bachelor’s Programme in any discipline from Panjab university or any other University recognized as equivalent to the corresponding degree of Panjab University
Secured at least 45% of the total marks in aggregate of subjects in the qualifying examination
The candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC need to secure at least 40% of the total marks in aggregate of all qualifying subjects
Those candidates who are appearing for the Bachelor’s Degree examination in the current academic session will also be considered eligible for applications subjected to the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by the University
Those who possess master’s Degree from Panjab University or any other University as equivalent to corresponding Post-Graduate degree of Panjab University
Panjab University conducts Panjab University LLB 2015 for admissions to 431 seats for three year LLB programmes distributed among four colleges including Department of Laws Panjab University Chandigarh, Panjab University Regional Centre Muktsar, Panjab University Regional Centre Ludhiana and UILS Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre.

The minimum percentage required for LLB course after graduation is mostly 50% for the general category. For example if I talk about DU LLB then , General category candidates need to score at least 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam or an equivalent grade to be eligible for admission. In case of reserved category candidates there is relaxation in minimum marks, as elucidated below:-
For candidates belonging to SC and ST, the minimum aggregate marks has been fixed at 40%, whereas OBC, PwD and CW candidates need at least 45% marks in aggregate.
