Essential Eligibility Criteria for PGCIL Executive Trainee (Law) Recruitment

Candidates applying for PGCIL EXECUTIVE TRAINEE (LAW) Recruitment through CLAT 2019 need to be an LLB graduate either through the five-year integrated or three-year LLB programme. Further, they need to have at least 60% marks in aggregate of all the subjects in their LLB degree programme.

Note – Those appearing in the final year LLB examination (both the 5-year and 3-year LLB programmes) can apply for PGCIL recruitment through CLAT 2019, provided they secure the minimum percentage of marks in their exam result by August 31, 2019.

Age Criteria for PGCIL Executive Trainee (Law) Recruitment

The LLB graduates applying for PGCIL 2019 (EXECUTIVE TRAINEE (LAW) recruitment through CLAT should not be more than 28 years of age as on last week of May 2019. The application of PGCIL recruitment through CLAT 2019 is an online process involving three steps from registration, to uploading of documents and remitting the application fees before submitting the PGCIL 2019 EXECUTIVE TRAINEE (LAW) recruitment application form.

PGCIL Recruitment through CLAT 2019– General Information for PSU recruiting through CLAT

  1. Candidates applying for PGCIL Executive Trainee (Law) [EXECUTIVE TRAINEE (LAW)] Recruitment through CLAT 2019 need to have a valid email id, an active mobile number and authentic CLAT 2019 Application Number.

  2. The application for PGCIL recruitment through CLAT 2019 should be made online only.

  3. Candidates are advised to keep the PGCIL 2019 Recruitment through CLAT application receipt safe till the process ends.

  4. There will be no refund of application fees, if once paid.

  5. CLAT 2019 takers will also need to keep their admission test admit cards safe till the recruitment process gets over.

PGCIL Recruitment through CLAT 2019 – Reservation and Relaxation for PSU recruiting through CLAT

  1. The PGCIL offers relaxation to the reserved category candidates in accordance with the Government Rules and Regulations.

  2. The candidates claiming relaxation under the reserved categories need to provide their applicable certificates at the time of document verification.

  3. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying any application fee for PGCIL Recruitment Executive Trainee (Law) (E1 Level) 2019.

Hello Aspirant,

The eligibility criteria of CLAT 2020 for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate courses are different from those required for undergraduate courses. Check the points below to find out whether you meet the prescribed CLAT eligibility criteria for LLM program.

  • Qualifying exam: Aspirants applying for admission to the LLM program needs to hold a valid bachelor’s degree in law or any equivalent exam. Both five-year integrated and three-year law degrees are accepted.

  • Marks in qualifying marks: Aspirants need to score at least 55% in the qualifying degree. SC/ST category candidates will be granted 5% relaxation in minimum marks.

  • Age limit: Like in CLAT UG, there is no age limit for appearing in CLAT 2020 for PG program as well.

Where I get 2020 clat pg syllabus?

The official CLAT PG syllabus will be released along with the official notification in the last week of december 2019. To give you a gist of the syllabus, the no. Of questions asked will be around 100. The syllabus will cover constitutional law, international law, criminal law, intellectual property law, Jurisprudence etc.

Hope you are doing well.

The Common Law Admission Test(CLAT) is conducted in English language only. The test is conducted in an online mode comprising of 200 questions including 5 different sections. The duration of the test is 2hrs. Negative marking is also present in this test.

NUSRL, Ranchi will officially release CLAT syllabus tentatively during the 3rd or last weeks of December 2019. But based on previous years' syllabus, this answer is being written. CLAT LLM syllabus has various sections such as Constitutional Law, Law of Torts, International Law, Jurisprudence, Intellectual Property law, Law of Contracts and Criminal Law. Constitutional law refers to the rights states and implemented in the Federal and State Constitutions. Law of Torts in common law jurisdictions is a civil wrong that causes a claimant to suffer loss or harm resulting in legal liability for the person who is accused of committing the act.

Now Constitutional laW carries 50 marks and so books by VN Shukla, Brij Kishore Sharma and JN Pandey are must reads.

For Jurisprudence, books by VD Mahajan and Mani Tripathi are the best in the market. This is a tough subject, carries 50 marks and so try checking guides available on this subject in the local book stores as well.
