Careers360 brings you the SET Law 2014 analysis by Harsh Gagrani, Director, LegalEdge Tutorials.

Below is the section-wise analysis of the paper –

Careers360: What is your overall analysis of the SET Law 2014 paper?

Harsh Gagrani: According to me, the overall SET Law 2014 paper was easy. There were repetitions from previous papers so the candidates who had solved last papers from those years stand a good chance of cracking the exam.

English: The English paper was easy. Candidates can expect a good score in this section.

Logical Reasoning: This paper was comparatively easy.  There were three prominent topics in this section, Assumptions, Course of Action and Conclusions. Candidates would be aware that many of the questions were directly from R.S. Aggarwal.

Analytical Reasoning:  This section had questions from puzzle and series. There were 4 questions of which only one was tough. I would rate the difficulty level of this section as easy.

Legal Aptitude: Compared to the rest of the paper, Legal aptitude was of a moderate level. There were 12 legal aptitude questions. Most questions were from Law of contracts and Law of Torts. Since this section is not taught at the school level, therefore those who have not taken mock test or were not in practice from the last years’ questions could not solve much of these. However, the questions were easy than the last year.

General Knowledge: There were a lot of questions from recent past. The current affairs questions covered last one year incidents.

Careers360:Where there any anomalies in the paper?

Harsh Gagrani: Yes. You see, four questions were repeated in the legal aptitude section. This created some confusion for the candidates. I believe this even resulted in loss of time.

Careers360: What according to you is the expected Cutoff?

Harsh Gagrani: I expect that the cutoff for the General category could be 97 for Noida campus and 105 from Pune campus.

You can check the answer key of the SET Law Entrance 2014, once it is available. The result for SET Law 2014 is expected to be out on May 19, 2014. Those who will qualify the law entrance exam and meet the cutoff can expect to be admitted to Symbiosis Law School, Pune and Symbiosis Law School, Noida.

for 45000 in which clg may i get set not expecting in top clgs .to know in which clg may i get in b.arch to know in Which clg i may get in A.P

Subhodeep Biswas 26th Jan, 2020
Hey there hope you're doing well.
Dear aspirant, as far as JEE MAIN examination paper 2 B.arch is concerned with this rank it's very difficult to get into any of the top colleges in fact cutoff for B.arch courses goes high you may get some non gov. Colleges since most of the colleges have their closing ranks near to 10k. I'll suggest you to give another attempt in April and secure a good rank to get your dream college. It seems you cannot get any b.arch colleges in A.P.
Thank you hope this helps you!

sir i got 60 per in b.arch can i know is this per is good and in which clg i will get set

SAKSHI KULSHRESHTHA 24th Jan, 2020

Leelavathi, you can calculate your expected JEE Mains paper 2 rank for the January session using the following formula:

(100-your total percentile) x 112679/100

So with 60 percentile, your rank would be around 45071.

According to your rank, it will be difficult to get a seat in the top colleges. Most top colleges in India require a rank of 5000 or below in JEE Mains paper 2 for admission.

I would suggest you to sit for the April session and give your best in the next session so that your chance of getting a top college increases. Solve the previous years' papers, brush up your concepts and practise regularly.

You can go to the below link to find the cutoff rank for admission in BArch in NITs or CFTIs for the years 2016 to 2019: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-b-arch-b-planning/amp

You can also go through our college predictor given below to check which colleges you are eligible for: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-architecture-college-predictor

All the best.
