ULSAT Application Form 2020 - The University of Petroleum & Energy Studies has released the application form of ULSAT 2020 on September 6, 2019 in online mode. The last date to fill the ULSAT 2020 application form is the yet to be announced and tentatively in the second week of May. Candidates need to register first, fill the application form of ULSAT 2020, upload the requisite documents and then submit the same. ULSAT is a computer based test held by UPES for admissions to the law programmes offered by it. The entrance exam will be held tentatively in May 2020 and only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can appear for it. The ULSAT application fee can be paid either online or offline. ULSAT Eligibility Criteria 2020 has already been announced by the university. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in both class 10 and class 12. They will be eligible for admissions if they qualify in ULSAT 2020 or CLAT 2020 or LSAT India 2020. Meritorious students who have scored above 85% in their class 10 and class 12 are exempt from ULSAT.

Steps to Fill ULSAT 2020 Application Form

  • Registration
  • Fill Personal Details in ULSAT application Form
  • Enter Academic Details
  • Pay Application Fee
  • Complete and submit the application form

Step 1: Registration - Candidates must enter name, email ID, mobile number and then choose the course. They must then enter the OTP provided on their registered mobile to fill the application form

Step 2: Filling the ULSAT Application Form - Personal Details

Candidates will be redirected to the application form after they enter the OTP. They must enter the following

  • First Name*
  • Middle Name
  • Last Name*
  • Date of Birth*
  • Nationality? Country, State, City, Email ID and Mobile No.
  • What would you like to study at UPES? Course details must be entered
  • How did you know about UPES?
  • Mode of Application - through ULSAT, Through CLAT or Through LSAT India

An OTP will be sent after completing this section

Step 3: Enter Academic Details

Candidates must enter details of their qualifying exam, marks obtained etc

I applied for online entrance in upes when will the final results be out and admission process begin?

Hello Riddhi!

As per the official schedule released by UPES Dehradun, results for  ULSAT 2019 are tentatively scheduled for release in the last week of June 2019. The counselling process will start immediately after the release of results. The notice for the Same will be released by the concerned authorities. The selected candidates will be intimated after the results so that they can catch on with the admissions.

What if I got less than 50 % number in ulsat law ? Will they call me for the GP round ?

Hi Arushi,

This year's passing cutoffs for ULSAT law have not been declared yet. But according to past year's trends you can pass the examination if you've more than 50%.

By less than 50% what is exactly you mean. You might have a chance of passing if you score above 45%.

But in the end it's not about the Percentage you get but it's about the marks you obtain i.e. your percentile. Because the cut-off marks are dependent on the average score obtained by students in the given examination.

So until the cut-off percentile is released you really cannot predict whether they'll call you for the GP round or not.

Usually the cut-off percentile is released after the declaration of the results. And since the results are out they can release the cut-off anytime now.

I cleared ULSAT exam and i was called for GDPI process,but i didnt do well in GDPI. Will i be able to get admission in UPES.

Hello Aspirant!

As a part of ULSAT 19 counseling, the university conducts a group discussion and personal interview round. Candidates who qualify this are called for the final round of counseling and admission procedure thereafter.

As you have mentioned that you could not perform well in GD-PI round, there are still chances of getting admission there.

Past year experiences have shown that if a candidate performs well in the exam but is unable to to do well in the GD-PI , still he or she is considered for the admissions. Also it has been noticed that if there are vacant seats available with the university, then too admissions are offered irrespective of the performance in GD-PI but the first condition holds. Both the situations are practical enough to happen and increases your good chances of admission.

can anyone i mean person of any age give this exam?

As per the Supreme Court’s stay on age bar, there's no age limit fixed in appearing of any law examinations and this includes ULSAT as well. So, yes your mom can gladly go ahead, continue her studies, fulfill her dreams and most importantly be an inspriration for all young people out there.Wishing your mother all the best.

I have not filled the form of UPES but I have given CLAT 2019 and also be giving LSAT 2019 can I get admission through merit base?

UPES does take admission in the basis of scores of CLAT it doesn't matter whether you have given the exam or not if you have given CLAT you can apply for it. Because they have no of seats for students who get admission through CLAT. Once you have your score you can apply for it. Than they will send you a mail whether you qualify for GD and PI Or not.
