ULSAT 2020 - University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun has commenced the application process for ULSAT 2020 from September 6, 2019. The university will conduct ULSAT 2020 exam from 8 May to 15 May, 2020. Candidates who wish to seek admission into the undergraduate law programmes need to appear in UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test. ULSAT 2020 is a computer based test for admissions to 400 seats offered in BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB and B.Tech LLB programmes by the university. ULSAT will be conducted across 100 cities of India and candidates need to fill their preferences in the application form. ULSAT admit card will be available for download from April 18, 2020 and the result will be declared in the month of June. Candidates appearing in ULSAT 2020 are advised to read the eligibility criteria of ULSAT 2020 which mentions the minimum academic qualifications and age bar required for both undergraduate law programmes. ULSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria mentions the following -
Candidates appearing in ULSAT 2020 to seek admission into BA LLB, BBA LLB and B.Com LLB need to score atleast 50% marks in 10th and 12th examination under 10+2 educational system.
B.Tech Energy Technology + LL.B with specialization in IPR and B.Tech Energy Technology + LL.B with specialization in Cyber Law aspirants appearing in ULSAT 2020 need to acquire 50% marks in 10th and 12th examination.
There is no age bar to appear in ULSAT 2020.
The conducting body of ULSAT 2020, UPES Dehradun has opened the online window of the application form of ULSAT 2020 on September 6, 2019. The last date to fill the application form of ULSAT 2020 is May 3, 2020. Candidates can access the ULSAT 2020 application form in online mode. Aspirants of ULSAT 2020 will have to first register themselves, where their enrollment number and password will be generated which could be used for future communications too. After registration, candidates will have to fill in the application form with the prescribed application fee and then submit the same.
After submitting the application form of ULSAT 2020, now it’s time to check the exam centres of ULSAT 2020. The conducting body of ULSAT 2020 has announced the ULSAT 2020 Exam Centres with the application form. ULSAT 2020 will be conducted in over 100 cities of India for admissions into the undergraduate law programmes.
Aspirants of ULSAT 2020 will be issued admit card of ULSAT 2020 from April 18, 2020. Candidates will get access of the ULSAT 2020 Admit card in online mode through their registered accounts of ULSAT. Candidates will get all the important information related to examination and candidature in the hall ticket of ULSAT 2020.
UPES Dehradun has announced the exam pattern of ULSAT 2020 after the announcement of the application form. As per the ULSAT 2020 Exam Pattern, candidates will be given 150 objective type questions to attempt in three hours. The questions in the law examination will included from five subjects namely - Language Comprehension, Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude.
After the conduct of the law examination, UPES Dehradun will announce the result of ULSAT 2020 in the month of June 2020. Candidates would be able to check the ULSAT 2020 Result in online mode through their registered accounts.
Followed by the declaration of the result, the university will conduct counselling of ULSAT 2020 in the month of June 2020 at UPES Dehradun Campus. The schedule of counselling will be notified later by the university.
As a part of the ULSAT 2020 Counselling, the university will conduct a Group Discussion and Personal Interview for the law aspirants being shortlisted. Candidates who qualify the GD-PI session successfully will be then called for the final round of counselling and admission procedure thereafter. The details about your examination centre will be given in your admit card.The admit card will be out one week before the exam, the exam will be conducted in the month of May, 2020. Your admit card will have all the candidature details, test centre and other important information. Hence you need to be patience until you get the admit card.

As per the official schedule released by UPES Dehradun, results for ULSAT 2019 are tentatively scheduled for release in the last week of June 2019. The counselling process will start immediately after the release of results. The notice for the Same will be released by the concerned authorities. The selected candidates will be intimated after the results so that they can catch on with the admissions.

As a part of ULSAT 19 counseling, the university conducts a group discussion and personal interview round. Candidates who qualify this are called for the final round of counseling and admission procedure thereafter.
As you have mentioned that you could not perform well in GD-PI round, there are still chances of getting admission there.
Past year experiences have shown that if a candidate performs well in the exam but is unable to to do well in the GD-PI , still he or she is considered for the admissions. Also it has been noticed that if there are vacant seats available with the university, then too admissions are offered irrespective of the performance in GD-PI but the first condition holds. Both the situations are practical enough to happen and increases your good chances of admission.
