AIL LET 2023 Exam: Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Pattern, Preparation Tips

AIL LET 2023: Army Institute of Law (AIL), Mohali has released the AIL LET application form 2023 on April 5, 2023. Candidates can fill the application form of AIL LET 2023 till May 16, 2023, without late fees, AIL LET 2023 exam will be conducted on June 24, 2023. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or are set to appear in the board exams can apply for admission to the 5-year integrated BA LLB programme offered by the institute. The AIL LET registration fee is Rs 3000 for all categories. AIL LET 2023 will be conducted in online mode. The AIL LET question paper will have questions from topics such as general knowledge, current affairs, maths and legal awareness. All candidates who register for AIL LET 2023 will receive the admit cards a few days before the examination. The admit card of AIL LET 2023 is a mandatory document for appearing for the law entrance exam and it will also inform about the candidate's roll number, exam centre location and address.  

What is AIL LET exam?

The Army Institute of Law offers a 5-year integrated BA LLB programme through an entrance test popularly known as AIL LET. The institute also offers an LLM programme through AIL LET PG. The entrance exam is conducted in online mode, at the designated test centres across the country. The online-based AIL LET is a two-hour-long test consisting of 200 MCQ-based questions. Candidates are shortlisted based on their AIL LET scores for counselling and admission.

AIL LET seats 2023

Candidates who wish to apply for AIL LET 2023 must meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the institute. The AIL LET eligibility criteria 2023 contains information on the qualifying exam passed, minimum marks in the qualifying exam, and age limit. Educational Qualifications

• Qualifying exam: The candidates need to have passed 10+2 exam from Punjab School Education Board or an equivalent exam recognised by Punjabi University, Patiala.

• Marks in qualifying exam: The minimum aggregate marks in the qualifying exam should be 45%.

• Open University: Candidates who have completed 10+2 through the Open University system directly without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible.

• Compartment papers: Candidates who have passed 10+2 in compartments are not eligible for admission.

Provisional application: Applicants appearing in the qualifying exam in March/ April can take AIL LET 2023, but provisionally. Such candidates need to pass the 10+2 examination with minimum qualifying marks for AIL LET 2023.

Age limit

There is no age limit for appearing in the AIL LET 2023 exam or pursuing BA LLB or LLM programmes from the institute.

Army Institute of Law has release the AIL LET 2023 application form in online mode on April 5, 2023. Eligible applicants can fill and submit the AIL LET application form 2023 online from the official website of the institute - ail.ac.in. When filling out the application form, one needs to enter only genuine information as otherwise the candidature of the candidate may be cancelled at any stage of the admission process. 

How to Fill AIL LET 2023 Application Form?

• Click on the official application link.

• Get registered by entering your name, phone number, date of birth, email id, and other details. Upon successful registration, a registration number will be created.

• Log in to the newly created account to continue the application form-filling process. There will be sections like academic, personal and contact details, which have to be duly filled. 

• Upload photograph, signature, photograph, and other mandatory documents. Note that the size of documents to be uploaded must be – passport-size photos (<120 Kb), army category certificates (<1.5 MB), documents (<1.5 MB)

• Pay the application fee. The AIL LET application fee is Rs 3000.

AIL LET 2023 Exam Pattern – Overview

Army Institute of Law, Mohali, Punjab will release the AIL LET 2023 admit card on June 12, 2023. The admit card of AIL LET 2023 will be available in online mode, at the official examination portal of the institute. Candidates who register and complete the fee payment will be able to download AIL LET 2023 admit card by logging into their registered account. The admit card carries details such as the candidate's name and roll number, date and time of the exam, exam centre details, and photo, and signature.

Important things to carry on AIL LET 2023 exam day

Candidates appearing in AIL LET 2023 should carry the following items while going to the examination hall.

1. A hard copy of AIL LET 2023 admit card
2. A valid photo identity card
3. A blue/black ballpoint pen

Army Institute of Law will announce the AIL LET 2023 result on July 6, 2023. Candidates will be able to download the result of AIL LET 2023 online from their registered account. AIL LET 2023 result will mention details such as marks obtained by the candidate, all India rank, category rank, roll number and candidate details.

Mode of Counselling: Offline

The institute will conduct the counselling of AIL LET 2023 in online mode. Only those candidates who qualify AIL LET 2023 exam and are included in the merit list will be invited for the counselling. The counselling process will be conducted as per the category of the candidate and also his or her merit rank. Candidates shortlisted for counselling will have to be present in the counselling venue in person.

AIL LET Counselling process: Document submission, verification and admission 

The institute shortlists candidates based on their marks and rank in the merit list. Such candidates will have to submit the above-mentioned documents and certificates to the institute either in online or offline mode. 

• The counselling officials will verify the details submitted by the candidates during the application process by referring to the original documents. 
• If the candidates fulfil the eligibility and satisfy all conditions for admission, the institute will approve the admission. 
• To complete the admission process, such candidates will have to submit the course fee as prescribed by the institute.
