About AILET PG 2019

National Law University, Delhi conducted AILET PG 2019 on May 5 across 20 cities of India. AILET PG is an offline test held for admissions to the 20 seats of L.L.M programme offered by the university. The application forms for AILET PG 2019 had been announced on January 4, 2019. The application fee could be paid online as well as offline. Candidates had to solve 150 questions in a duration of 90 minutes, each question was for 1 mark. After the declaration of AILET PG 2019 result, NLU Delhi will determine cutoff for preparing a merit list of admitting candidates. The shortlisted candidates based on AILET PG 2019 cutoff will attend the admission counselling.

Candidates who have appeared in AILET PG 2019 to seek admission in the postgraduate law programme must check the eligibility criteria of AILET PG 2019 for L.L.M programme given below.

  • A candidate needs to possess an L.L.B degree from any recognized university recognized by Bar Council of India

  • Candidates appearing for their final year L.L.B examination are also eligible to apply for AILET PG 2019

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 55 per cent marks in the qualifying degree examination

  • 5 percent relaxation is given for candidates from the reserved category (SC/ST/PwD)

  • No age bar for candidates who wish to apply for AILET 2019 L.L.M programme


The admission of a candidate can be cancelled at later stages also, if it found that he/she does not meet the requirements of the course. Hence, the eligibility criteria is an important parameter for AILET PG 2019.

AILET PG Application Form 2019 was available online. Candidates must could fill and submit the online application form before the final date i.e April 15, 2019. While filling the AILET PG 2019 Application Form candidates needed to make sure that they had a valid e-mail ID and mobile number.

The following were required during the registration process

  • A valid mobile number
  • A valid email-id
  • Scanned photograph and signature of the prescribed format

Before filling the application form of AILET PG 2019 candidates were required to register themselves with AILET PG 2019. After the registration process was complete, candidates could move on to filling the AILET PG 2019 application form. AILET PG Exam Pattern 2019 was as follows -

AILET PG 2019 admit card was available in the online mode from April 22, 2019 onwards. Candidates could download the admit card from the link given. The admit card of AILET PG 2019 contains the following details

  • Name and date of birth of the candidate
  • Roll number and registration number
  • Photograph and signature of the candidate
  • Subject for which the exam is conducted 
  • Exam centre details (centre address and name)
  • Duration of examination
  • Instructions related to the examination

Candidates were expected to carry along with their AILET PG Admit Card 2019 a valid photo ID proof on the day of the examination.

AILET PG 2019 result will be released online in a Pdf format. The result will contain the following details

  • Name and roll number of candidate
  • Marks scored and total marks of the examination
  • Qualifying status of the candidate

Candidates who qualify the examination will be featured in the AILET PG 2019 cutoff list

The cutoff of AILET PG 2019 will be released online. The candidates who have qualified in the AILET PG 2019 examination will be featured in the AILET PG Cutoff 2019. The cutoff will state the minimum marks required by candidates to qualify the examination. After the cutoff is released candidates whose names are shown in the list can move on with the counselling and admission procedure.

Mode of Counselling: Offline

AILET PG Counselling 2019 process will be conducted offline in the NLU Delhi campus in the fourth week of May 2019.  Candidates are required to take along with them the following documents

  • Class 10 and 12 marks sheet
  • Mark sheet of the qualifying L.L.B examination

What is syllabus for CLAT and AILET PG entrance exams?

The AILET syllabus for LLM consistes of topics from law of contracts, Law of torts, criminal laws, constitutional laws and legal theory.

From each of the above  topics there are 20 questions. It is an offline exam with MCQ based answers.

total time provided is 90 mins.For each correct answer 1 mark will be awarded and negative marking of 0.25 for wrong answers.

Hello! AILET 2019 will be conducted in offline mode on May 5, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. NLU Delhi will administer AILET 2019. Apart from the topics in the LLM syllabus, candidates will also be required to write an essay on the given topic. Questions will be of objective-nature where the candidates will be required to choose one option out of the four options given.

I am in my last year of undergrad law. can I apply for ailet PG 2019?

Hey.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for AILET PG 2019 even if you are in the final year of your law degree. The eligibility criteria laid out for AILET PG requires you to have a law degree recognised by BCI to be eligible for admission here. But you can take the entrance exam even in your final year of law. Your admission will be provisional subject to you passing your law degree and scoring a minimum aggregate of 55% when your result is out.

NLU Delhi has not notified any age limit for AILET PG. Therefore, you can fill in the applications of AILET PG, irrespective of age limit.
