About AILET 2024
The National Law University (NLU), Delhi has issued the AILET admit card 2024 on November 24, 2023 at 6 PM along with exam day instructions. All candidates who successfully submitted AILET application form 2024 can download the admit card from the official website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in by logging in with their registered mobile number and password. Earlier the university closed the AILET 2024 application on November 15, 2023. NLU Delhi will conduct AILET 2024 on December 10, 2023, in offline mode for admission into its BA LLB, LLM and PhD programmes.

What is AILET Exam?
All India Law Entrance Test, popularly known as AILET is a national-level law entrance exam conducted by NLU, Delhi. AILET exam is conducted for admission to 5-year integrated BA LLB, LLM and PhD programmes. Candidates may note here that NLU Delhi is the only national law university that will not accept the CLAT 2024 for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. All remaining 24 NLUs will accept CLAT 2024 scores.
AILET 2024 Exam Details
The university has recently changed the test pattern and syllabus for AILET UG and AILET PG. As per the new test pattern, AILET BA LLB 2024 will now have a time duration of 120 minutes. It has three sections - English, current affairs, general knowledge, and logical reasoning. AILET LLM has only two sections - English and Legal reasoning. The descriptive section has been removed. AILET 2024 courses and seat intake
The university offers a total of 120 seats in BA LLB programme. Out of this, 110 seats will be filled through AILET 2024. Similarly, at the postgraduate level, the university offers 80 seats in a year LLM programme, out of which 70 seats will be offered through the AILET exam. How many times a year is the AILET exam conducted?
AILET is conducted only once in a year. AILET 2024 is scheduled to be held on December 10, 2023. The earlier iteration, AILET 2023 was held exactly one year before on December 11, 2022.
Will NLU Delhi send physical copies of AILET 2024 admit card?
No, NLU Delhi will not send physical copy of the AILET admit card 2024. Candidates can get the admit card in online mode only through the admission portal of NLU Delhi.
How many seats are there in AILET 2024?
In AILET 2024 there are 110 seats for BA LLB while there are 70 seats for the LLM course. NLU Delhi also offers direct admissions through Non-AILET route to candidate belonging to the categories of foreign nationals, PIO and OCI.
What is the purpose of AILET?
The purpose of AILET is to admit students into the BA LLB and LLM courses of National Law University, Delhi. NLU Delhi prepares a merit list based on the scores obtained in AILET and holds multiple counselling rounds for its admissions process.
Is calculator allowed in AILET?
Candidates are not allowed to carry calculators for AILET 2024. Any rough work or calculations must be done on the space specifically provided in the question booklet for doing the rough work.
How was AILET last year?
As per students and experts, the AILET exam 2023, was easy to moderate. The question paper was a bit longer still many students found the paper easy. As per the new exam pattern, the maths section was not included in the question paper of AILET exam. And, legal aptitude was included in the logical reasoning section.

NLU Delhi Ranking & Placement
NLU Delhi has been ranked 2nd in the NIRF law rankings 2023. While most of the NLUs accept CLAT, NLU Delhi has continued with its separate entrance exam, AILET. AILET Eligibility Criteria - Law aspiring candidates looking to appear for NLU Delhi’s AILET 2024 must meet the eligibility norms as prescribed by the university. The AILET eligibility criteria 2024 mainly covers educational qualification and minimum passing percentage. Such candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria of AILET 2024 will not be considered for admission to law programmes at NLU Delhi. AILET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
National Law University, Delhi offers 5-year integrated BA LLB , LLM and PhD in Law through AILET exam. Each of these courses have different eligibility criteria. The complete details are as mentioned below.
AILET BA LLB eligbility
12th Grade or an exam of a comparable level with 45% marks (or 40% for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities). Candidates appearing for the 12th-grade exam in 2024 are also eligible to apply.
Foreign nationals are exempt from appearing for the AILET but must have scored at least 65% marks in the qualifying examination.
AILET LLM eligibility
LLB or equivalent degree with minimum 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/persons with disabilities).
Candidates appearing for their final year LLB examination are also eligible to apply.
AILET PhD eligibility
LL.M. or an equivalent law degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities)
UGC-JRF candidates and foreign nationals are exempt from appearing for AILET

There is no maximum or minimum age limit to appear for the AILET 2024 exam for any course.

The AILET 2024 application has been closed in November 15, 2023. Eligible candidates who wish to appear in AILET 2024 could register online and fill the application form by visiting the official website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The application was opened on August 7, 2023.
To complete the application process of AILET 2024 candidates are required to pay the registration fee of Rs. 3050 for the general category and Rs. 1050 for SC/ST candidates. The BPL candidates belonging to SC and ST categories are exempted from the application fees for AILET 2024.
How to fill AILET 2024 application form?
The application form for AILET 2024 could be submitted by following the steps given below -
Step 1: Online registration - Candidates need to visit the official website of NLU Delhi - nludelhi.ac.in. Then, click on 'Register to Apply Now' where they need to create a signup or login account by providing details such as name, email id, create password, date of birth, mobile number and contact address.
Step 2: Select the law course - As the AILET 2024 exam is conducted for undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in law, candidates should first select the course in the application form - BA LLB, LLM or PhD After the selection of the course candidates should click on 'Apply Now" to move in the next step.
Step 3: Fill out the application form - Candidates after successfully creating the AILET 2024 login account should fill the particulars given below:

NLU, Delhi will released the AILET provisional answer key few days after the conclusion of the exam. The final answer key of AILET 2024 will be released along with the result. How to calculate marks using the AILET answer key 2024?
Candidates can follow the marking scheme given below to calculate their AILET 2024 marks:
- The multiple-choice questions asked in AILET 2024 will carry 1 marks
- Candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer and a penalty of 0.25 marks for each correct answer
- There will not be any deduction for the unattended questions
- Candidates who have marked two answers to a question will get a penalty of 0.25 mark for such a question.

NLU Delhi will release consolidated merit lists for both BA LLB and LLM programmes, along with the result. Candidates can download the AILET merit list in pdf format which will include the name and All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates shortlisted for admission.
The university releases the cut off of AILET after each round of counselling. The AILET cut off 2024 is the last rank or minimum marks required for admission in NLU Delhi. Mode of Counselling: Offline
The AILET 2024 counselling process will be based on the scores of the candidates in the entrance exam. The admission authorities will first release the merit list. After the release of merit list, the provisional admission list will be released. Candidates can register for the counselling in online mode,
AILET counselling 2024 - Steps
Step 1: Check AILET invite list 2024 - The university will release the list of shortlisted candidates for AILET 2024 counselling after the declaration of results. Candidates three times more than the available seats will be invited for AILET counselling 2024. Only those candidates who will receive the invitation will be eligible to appear in the counselling.
Step 2: AILET 2024 counselling registration - Invited candidates will have to login to the admission portal using their registration number or application number as well as date of birth. They will also have to pay the counselling fee and upload the necessary documents and print the acknowledgement slip for future reference.
Step 3: Provisional admission list for AILET 2024 - The university will release the course-wise first provisional admission list after the verification of the documents submitted by the eligible candidates along with the waiting list.
Step 4: Admission fee payment - The candidates who are shortlisted will have to pay the counselling fees and the pay the remaining admission fees within the deadline.

Cut off for 2018 and 2019 were around 72 for General category, considerably lower than previous years. 62-63 for and candidates and 45-50 for PWD .

When can I apply for admission in nlu
Dear Aspirant,
For admission in NLU, Delhi you have to prepare for the national level entrance test AILET 2020. It is conducted for both LLB, LLM and PhD. programmes. Also, it is help on the first Sunday of May and that is what is proposed for this year as well.
Here are the details of the exam. The application starts in the first week of January 2020 and will go on till the second week of April 2020. After you get your admit card in the very next week, the exam will be held in the first week of May 2020. The announcement of the results will depend on the course. For instance, results for LLB will be declared in the 3rd week of May 2020 while for LLM, they will be declared in the 1st week of July, 2020 and PhD in the subsequent week.
If you are applying for LLB, you should have passed your 10+2 exam from a recognised board or an equivalent examination with the aggregate of 50% marks in the final examination. Even if you have given the following in March 2019/April 2019, you are eligible to apply.
For LLM, you need an LLB degree or equivalent law degree with an aggregate of 55% marks or 50% marks depending on your caste.
