The CLAT consortium conducts the CLAT PG exam for admitting candidates to LLM program offered by the 21 participating NLUs. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) PG would be an offline-based test, but the consortium has introduced cut off marks for the new session. CLAT applicants will now have to qualify in the objective paper, only then will their subjective paper be evaluated. The minimum qualifying marks in the objective paper is 40% (35% in case of SC, ST & PWD) marks. CLAT PG 2020 will be conducted on May 10, 2020 at more than 60 centres across the country. The application form of CLAT PG 2020 has opened in online mode on January 1, 2020. Eligible candidates will have to duly fill and submit CLAT application form 2020 by March 31.
On May 11, a day after conduct of CLAT PG 2020 exam, authorities will release provisional answer keys containing answers to questions asked in the exam. The candidate by consulting these keys would be able to estimate probable scores. Candidates will also be able to challenge the provisional keys from May 12-15, post which the final key will be released on May 18. Meanwhile, CLAT 2020 result would be declared on May 24, 2020, which will be followed by counselling for shortlisted candidates.

The CLAT consortium has released the application form of CLAT PG 2020 in online mode on January 1, 2020. Eligible candidates have to fill the CLAT PG application form using correct and verifiable data, as false information can lead to disqualification. The application form filling process is described in brief below.
Steps to fill CLAT PG application form:
Online Registration - The first step is registration, wherein the candidate will create an applicant account by entering details like - name, phone number, and email. A password would also have to be created for the new account.
Filling of application form - This step will have various sections like personal, correspondence, and address details. The candidate will also have to select the course (in this case LLM).
Uploading of documents - Next, photograph, signature and domicile certificates have to be uploaded in the format specified in the table below:Document specifications

For the new academic session, CLAT PG consortium has made a few changes to the CLAT PG 2020 exam pattern. This include the inclusion of comprehension-based questions. However, the descriptive section will remain as it is. Further, the consortium has also introduced cutoff marks from the new academic session, discussed in detail below.

Cutoff marks for CLAT PG 2020

General category candidates has to score minimum 40% marks (35% in case of SC, ST & PWD candidates) to qualify in the objective paper

What if there is any discrepancy in the CLAT PG admit card 2020?
After or before downloading the admit card, check that details like name is correctly spelled, that the right photo is included, and that the information is legible. In case it is not so, and there is an issue, like a wrong photo is uploaded in place of the applicant, he/she needs to get in touch with exam officials immediately and get it rectified.

Within a few days of conduct of the exam, exam conducting authorities will release a provisional answer keys of CLAT PG 2020 for all the paper codes (A, B, C, and D). These answer keys will then contain the code-wise answers to questions asked in the entrance exam. The candidate by consulting CLAT PG answer key 2020 will be able to calculate their expected score; for calculating marks, one must refer the official marking scheme only. In case the candidate feels like there is any discrepancy in any of the keys, he/she may even challenge the provisional key(s) within a given time frame. Exam officials will notify a window during which candidates may send in their challenges.
And after considering all objections against the provisional answer key, the officials will release the final answer key of CLAT PG 2020. An important distinction between the final and provisional keys is the keys mentioned in the former would be final and so deemed to be correct. Also, no challenges to the final keys will be entertained.
The exam conducting authority will declare the result of CLAT PG 2020 on May 24, 2020. CLAT 2020 result would be declared in the form of score cards and would include details like the score, category, and AIl India Rank (AIR). Preparation of CLAT PG merit list
The marks obtained by candidates in the CLAT PG exam would be used to prepare the CLAT PG merit list 2020 which will be used for counselling and seat allotment process. In such a case where two or more candidates score the same marks in CLAT PG 2020 exam, tie-breaking procedure would be adopted to decide the merit rank.
The CLAT PG 2020 cutoff is the minimum rank or score that a candidate has to obtain in order to obtain admission to the LLM course at any of the participating 21 NLUs. The CLAT PG cutoff 2020 would be category-specific and released separately for the NLUs. This means the candidate needs to meet the cutoff criteria for his/her category for the applied institute to be considered for admission, or else the candidate would be likely out of the admission process.

Mode of Counselling:
Authorities will conduct the counselling of CLAT PG 2020 in online mode for admission to the NLUs.
Candidates will be shortlisted for counselling based on the merit list, which in turn will be prepared using marks scored by candidates in the offline-based exam. As part of the CLAT PG 2020 counselling process, the candidate has to get registered and then participate in choice filling and locking process.
There will be three CLAT PG 2020 counselling rounds, and for each round a separate seat allotment will be made. The allotment of seats will be made based on the merit rank of the candidate and also college opted for admission. Typically, the higher ranked the candidate, the higher is the chance of admission (or of being offered a higher preference seat).
