About CLAT 2020

CLAT 2020 will be conducted by National University Of Study And Research In Law (NUSRL), Ranchi around the 4th week of May 2020.  An offline-based exam, CLAT is conducted at around 40 centres around the country for admitting candidates to undergraduate law programs in the 21 participating NLUs. The total seat intake at these institutes is around 2500. The application form of CLAT 2020 is expected to be released around the 2nd week of January; candidates will have around 3 months time to submit the application form. The admit card of CLAT 2020 will be released around the 2nd week of May. CLAT 2020 will be of 2 hours duration and include 200 multiple-choice questions of 1 marks each; note each incorrect attempt will invite penalty of 0.25 marks. CLAT 2020 result will be declared around 2nd week of June 2020. Please note that apart from the 21 participating NLUs,  52 private universities as well as DBRANLU Sonipat, Haryana, will use CLAT 2020 scores for admission purpose.

The law aspirants need to check CLAT 2020 eligibility criteria to ensure they follow the right protocols prescribed for the admission process. As per CLAT 2020 eligibility criteria, the candidate should have passed 10+2 board examination from any recognised educational institution. In addition, candidates, any candidate belonging to the General category must have scored at least 45 per cent marks in their qualifying degree. Those belonging to SC and ST categories, need to score only 40 per cent marks in the aggregate in the qualifying exam. Interestingly, there is no age bar to appear in the Common Law Admission Test.

CLAT application form 2020 will be released by National University Of Study And Research In Law (NUSRL), Ranchi tentatively in the 2nd week of January. To apply for admission to undergraduate law programmes, candidates have to duly fill the CLAT 2020 application form, including payment of fees. Candidates are advised to complete the application before the last date. The first step in CLAT 2020 application form submission is registration. Upon successful registration, the candidate will receive a user id and password which has to be used to log-in to newly created candidate account  and complete the rest of the application form. After filling up all the details required, the applicant has to remit the prescribed application fee. One needs to very careful while filling the details in the application form of CLAT 2020, as applications cannt be edited once submitted.

As per the CLAT 2020 exam pattern, the test will be conducted in offline mode, where the candidates will have two hours to complete the test. The candidates were required to choose one correct option among the given answer options. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark each and 0.25 marks each will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The questions of CLAT 2020 were provided in English language only.

Candidates appearing in the national-level exam could access the CLAT 2020 mock test online. National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi  will release the CLAT 2020 admit card tentatively in the 2nd week of May, 2020. To download the CLAT admit card, one needs to log-in by entering one's mobile number and password. On exam, the applicant needs to carry with them the admit card of CLAT 2020, without fail, along with a valid photo ID proof. Candidates are also advised to carefully go through all the exam day guidelines mentioned on the CLAT 2020 admit card to stay out of trouble on the day of the exam. Finally, keep the CLAT admit card safe until the admission process is over.

Exam conducting authorities will first release a provisional answer key of CLAT 2020 within a few days of conclusion of the CLAT 2020 exam. By consulting the keys given in the provisional CLAT 2020 answer key, the candidate will be able to calculate the number of questions they managed to respond correctly. Now using the official CLAT 2020 marking scheme, the candidate will be able to calculate probable score, and in turn their chances of admission (use previous years' cutoff data for the purpose). Candidates will be allowed to filed objections against the provisional key. Authorities after considering all such complaints will release the final answer key of CLAT 2020. The keys given in the final CLAT 2020 answer key will be considered to be the final authority or correct answers to questions asked in the exam.

National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi will announce the result of CLAT 2020 tentatively in the 2nd week of June, 2020. Candidates can access to the CLAT 2020 result in online mode by logging in using their registration/application number and date of birth. The result would contain important details like the qualifying status of the candidate, section-wise and overall marks. After the declaration of the result, candidates will shortlisted for the counselling and seat allotment process.

National University Of Study And Research In Law (NUSRL), Ranchi will release the cutoff of CLAT 2020 after the declaration of the CLAT result. It should be noted that CLAT Cutoff 2020 will be considered the minimum marks (or lowest rank) for which admissions into the NLU is offered. The various parameters on which CLAT 2020 cutoff would depend include - number of applications received for admission, sanctioned seat intake, performance of applicants in the entrance exam, etc.

Mode of Counselling: Online

Admission authorities will conduct the counselling of CLAT 2020 starting sometime in 2nd week of June 2020. To attend CLAT Counselling 2020, candidates have to get registered online by clicking on the counselling link and providing User Id/ registration Id and Password. Also, candidates need to carry with them the specified documents while attending CLAT 2020 counselling session. As a part of the counselling procedure, candidates will get an opportunity to shift or withdraw their seat.

let me clear your doubt .

here is the eligibility criteria for clat 2020.

A candidate must have passed class 10+2 from any recognized college. Also the cadidate belonging to general category should have 45 percent marks in their qualifying degree and those belonging to obc, scor should have 40 percent marks in their qualifying degree.there is no age limit for this exam.  If yoh follow all these criteria then you are eligible for clat exam.

Hey there

If you want to go for CLAT then ofcourse you need to have good English. For that you'll have to focus on grammar, reading comprehension, vocab also. For grammar you'll have to refer to standard books like rein and Martin etc. For reading comprehension try reading novels and newspapers on a daily basis. Pick difficult words from what you read and then write them in a copy and revise them daily it will boost your vocabulary also.

Hello Shristi, the form filling process for CLAT for the year 2020 has not begun yet. So, don't panic. The form filling will start by the second week of january 2020 and will end by third week of april. For those who have registered but not yet paid the application fee, the last deadline would be 4th week of april 2020 for payment of fees. Admit cards will be released by second week of may 2020
