CLAT Exam Analysis 2024
According to the CLAT exam analysis provided by students and experts, the exam was slightly easier than last year. This was mainly due to the reduced number of questions which gave more time to the students. The questions were based on comprehension passages, but the passages were short compared to last year. A good score for top 3 NLUs is expected to be 90+.

History of CLAT
The inception of CLAT as the common test has its roots in the 2007 case, Varun Bhagat v. Union of India when a parent of law aspirant argued for a centralized test. Following this, the first Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) was organised in 2008 for seven national law universities.
In 2014, seven other national law universities joined CLAT. The exam was conducted online this time. However, a permanent secretariat for the CLAT consortium was still elusive. In 2015 - A PIL was filed by Professor Shamnad Bashir seeking an institutionalized system with a permanent secretariat for the conduct of CLAT. The case eventually led to the setting up of the CLAT Consortium in Bengaluru in 2018. The mode of the CLAT exam was also changed from online to offline.
Earlier, the CLAT was being conducted by national law universities on a rotation basis. Now, with a permanent secretariat, CLAT is conducted by a seven-member executive committee consisting of a convenor, president, vice-president, secretary-treasurer and other members.
As of 2023, CLAT scores are accepted by 24 out of 26 national law universities. NLU Delhi and the recently established NLU Meghalaya are conducting separate entrance exams. NLU Delhi conducts the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), whereas NLU Meg organises MEG-UAT and MEG-PAT for admissions to UG and PG programs.

- How to answer the CLAT question paper 2024: The questions asked in the CLAT exam 2024 can be placed in three groups: easy, moderate, and difficult. It is recommended that the candidate starts with easy questions, before answering moderate and difficult questions. Also, if one gets stuck with a difficult question, better not spend too much time on it, but instead move on to the next question.
- Stay composed even in difficult situations during exams: Sometimes the question paper may turn out to be more difficult than expected, or you may not be able to answer an easy-looking question. In those situations, it is important to keep one's cool and not get rattled. Take a deep breath and move on to the next question.

What is a good score in CLAT 2024?
To decide what is a good score you have to first identify the NLU you want to get admission into. And the last rank (or cutoff rank) for which admission is offered in that institute can be considered to be a good score. That said the cutoff fluctuates depending on a host of parameters like seat intake, the performance of candidates in CLAT 2024 total applicants, and the CLAT merit rank of these applicants. So, you will be in the safe zone only if you score a little higher than the past year's cutoff rank.

Questions related to CLAT
After completing B.sc. from any university am I eligible for CLAT and also LLB?
Hii There,
Yes, after completing a B.Sc. degree from any recognized university, you are eligible to apply for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for admission to various National Law Universities (NLUs) in India for their integrated LLB programs. You can also pursue a traditional LLB program (3-year) from any university that offers it, provided you meet their specific eligibility criteria. It's important to check the individual university's or college's eligibility requirements for their LLB program.
I hope this answers your question.
Thanks
I am currently in class 11 and my exams are in march ones after qualifying it Ill be in 12th grade... can i give give clat this year, but I will have my board exam in 2025 march???
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing great.
As per your question, NO you are not eligible to give CLAT exam this year. Because the eligibility criteria for the CLAT exam provides that, you need to complete your 12th grade and during the filling of application form for the CLAT, you need to put your marks, and without completing 12th you cannot get your marks.
Hope this helps!
i will enter class 12th just after my class 11 exams, which clat exam will i give 2025 or 2026?
Hello,
you would likely give the CLAT examination in 2025. The CLAT examination is typically taken by students in their final year of high school or after completing high school, depending on the specific requirements of the universities or colleges they are applying to. Since you will be in class 12th in 2025, you would most likely take the CLAT exam in that year for admission to undergraduate law programs starting in the academic year 2026. However, it is essential to verify the specific eligibility criteria and exam dates for the CLAT exam in 2025 by checking the official CLAT website or contacting the conducting authority.
Hope this helps you,
Thank you
