About LSAT-India 2024
Pearson VUE is currently accepting applications for LSAT─India 2024. The LSAT─India 2024 registration window was opened on August 14, 2023. The LSAT─India application form 2024 can be submitted on its official website. lsatindia.in. Pearson VUE has also notified the LSAT─India 2024 exam dates. It will conduct the exams in online remote proctored mode in the months of January and May. The LSAT─India January exams will be conducted on January 20 and January 21. The LSAT─India May exams will be held from May 16 to May 19.
It must be noted that The LSAT─India exam registration fee is Rs. 3,999 for all candidates. The LSAT exam is designed by the USA-based Law School Admission Council. At present the scores of LSAT─India 2024 will be accepted by around 9 private law schools in the country. More law colleges are likely to be added soon.
What is LSAT─India Exam?
The Law School Admission Test ─ India (LSAT─India) is a standardised test of Law School Admission Council (LSAC). LSAT─India is conducted for admissions into 5-year LLB integrated LLB, 3-year LLB and LLM programmes. LSAT—India exam focuses on the high-level reading, informal reasoning, and deductive reasoning skills necessary to succeed in law schools. Analytical Reasoning questions reflect the kinds of complex analyses that a law student performs in the course of legal problem solving.This tests candidate's ability to understand the structure of relationships and draw logical conclusions about the same.
- Analytical reasoning - In each question of logical reasoning, candidates will be required to read and comprehend a short passage followed by answering the questions. The questions here will assess a wide range of skills involved in thinking critically, with an emphasis on skills that are central to legal reasoning and drawing conclusions.
- Reading comprehension - This contains four sets of reading questions, each consisting of a selection of reading material, followed by four to nine questions that test reading and reasoning abilities.Here, the candidate's ability to read and understand will be tested.
LSAT paper consists of 96 questions in mcq format with total being 100 marks, there's no negative marking, the paper is conducted in offline mode for a duration of 2 hours 20 minutes.
