PU BA LLB 2024 - Panjab University ( PU) will release the notification for PU BA LLB 2024 tentatively in March 2024. PU BA LLB 2024 exam is an offline based exam conducted for admission to BA LLB and B.Com LLB programme for a combined intake of 480 seats. The PU BA LLB 2024 will tentatively be conducted in the fourth week of April, 2024.  The university will conduct seat allotment on the basis of PU BA LLB merit list prepared using PU BA LLB 2024 scores. As per the PU UG law eligibility criteria, candidates who have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks (45% in the case of SC and ST candidates) are eligible to apply for admission. 

What is PU UG Law Entrance Test 2024?

The PU UG Law Entrance Test 2024 is the entrance exam conducted by Panjab University to admit candidates into the 5 year integrated BA LLB and B.Com LLB programmes. The entrance exam is administered in three languages - English, Hindi & Punjabi. The test consists of objective-type questions from Current affairs, Legal aptitude and Mental Ability and English. Admissions through PU BA LLB entrance test are offered on the basis of merit cum preference. The merit list is prepared category-wise, based on the marks scored by the candidates.

PU BA LLB 2024 Seat structure

Candidates seeking to pursue five-year integrated legal education at participating institutes of Panjab University have to appear in PU BA LLB entrance test. The eligibility criteria of PU BA LLB 2024 are conditions that the candidate has to meet to be considered for admission.

• Qualifying exam : The applicant needs to have passed  10+2 examination or equivalent exam scoring minimum 50% marks. Relaxation of 5% in minimum marks applies for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Panjab University will release the admit card for PU BA LLB entrance exam online a few days before the exam. PU UG Law exam day guidelines 2024

The admit card carries a series of guidelines for the candidates appearing in the entrance examination. Candidates should read all the exam day guidelines carefully before going to the exam centre. Some of the important exam day instructions are mentioned below.

• Candidates should read the exam centre of PU BA LLB 2024 at least 30 minutes before the examination.
• Candidates going to appear in PU UG law entrance exam must carry a printed copy of admit card and an original photo ID card to their exam centre.
• Candidates should also carry a blue/black ballpoint pen.
• Candidates will not be allowed to carry any electronic items such as mobile phones, watch, earphones, calculator inside the exam hall.
• No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam centre before the completion of the test.
• Candidates are further advised to keep the admit card safe for the remaining admission process.

Panjab University will release the answer key of PU BA LLB 2024 after the exam. PU BA LLB answer key is available in online mode and contains the answers to questions asked in the entrance exam. The PU BA LLB answer key enables the candidates to get an idea about their performance and how many marks they are likely to score based on the number of correct and incorrect responses.

After the answer key is released the Panjab University will invite objections to the provisional answer key. The final PU BA LLB answer key is released after considering all the objections.

Punjab University will declare the result of PU BA LLB 2024 tenatively in May 2024. The result of the entrance test is made available on the University website - results.puchd.ac.in and uglaw.puchd.ac.in. The evaluation once done by the university shall be absolutely final. Candidates can download the result by logging into the admission portal. The result carries details such as marks scored by the candidates, rank, roll number along with provisional qualification status.

PU BA LLB 2024 merit list

Along with the result, the university also releases a merit list of PU BA LLB 2024. It will carry all the names and marks of all the candidates who appeared in the test. The merit list informs about the rank secured by the candidate. 

The merit list of PU BA LLB 2024 is prepared based on the following criteria.

• PU BA LLB entrance exam score is given 50% weightage. 
• Class 12th score carries the remaining 50% weightage.

The Panjab University will release the cut off of PU BA LLB 2024 at the time of counselling. The PU BA LLB cut off 2024 will indicate the minimum marks required for admissions to Panjab University and its law centres. For each law centre, the PU BA LLB 2024 cut off will be released separately. Candidates coming under the cut off list will have to complete the admission process by appearing in counselling.

Mode of Counselling: Online

Panjab University will conduct the counselling of PU BA LLB 2024 in offline mode. The counselling is conducted at all law centres of Panjab University separately. Candidates shortlisted through PU BA LLB merit list will have to appear in the counselling process in order to complete the admission process.

The counselling of PU BA LLB 2024 will include steps such as online registration, submitting the documents and educational certificates for verification and conforming the seat by paying the course fee.
