CLAT 2014 Result Re-announced – Gujarat national law University re-announced CLAT 2014 Results on June 6, 2014 in the evening around 5:30 pm. CLAT 2014 Results were withheld  hours after announcing it owing to ‘technical discrepancies’ even as many CLAT takers alleged that wrong evaluation brought them shocking scores after the results were announced late night on May 31, 2014.

GNLU had verified the answer sheets of candidates to rectify the technical discrepancy that led to ‘mismatching of scores’ and finally declared CLAT 2014 Results.

 

 “We expect to release the results by 1700 hours on Friday, 6 June 2014. The exact timing of declaration will be displayed on the CLAT website,” said an official communication to the CLAT takers, adding that the physical verification of OMR Answer Sheets of each of the examinee was being carried out manually.

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) had earlier admitted that some of the CLAT 2014 takers were inappropriately placed in the merit list after they were awarded wrong scores due to ‘mismatching of score’ with other candidates. 

 

In an apparent acknowledgment to the pouring complaints, the GNLU had notified that results of the national level law entrance exam declared on May 31 had some technical discrepancies and due to the same it was being withheld till further notice.

According to the communication, a complete-merit list (name, roll number, score, rank, birth date, gender, category, domicile) of all candidates along with category-wise merit list, OMR Answer Sheets and all the four sets of model answer keys will also be made accessible to their respective LOGIN ACCOUNT with the CLAT 2014.

 

After the CLAT 2014 results were declared, many candidates had complained discrepancies in their scores. Social media was abuzz with many candidates reporting their CLAT scores shocking as they said that the marks were unrealistic and beyond their imagination. Candidates also demanded the GNLU to release their answer sheet which may verify their claim of ‘wrong evaluation’. 

 

CLAT 2014- Key Highlights 

 

CLAT 2014, the national level law entrance exam was held on May 11 in 21 examination centers in India for admissions to the BA LLB course for 1660 seats distributed among the participating 14 NLUs.

 

GNLU had also announced CLAT 2014 Counselling from June 1, 2014. As a result of the new development on CLAT results, the counseling procedure will automatically get disrupted and it is likely to be re-scheduled in next few days. 

 

GNLU had reported the highest number of registrations in CLAT 2014 as compared to the previous years’ CLAT. As per the official numbers, as many as 31,231 candidates had registered online for taking CLAT 2014 which was held on May 11, 2014.

Yes, ofcourse you should give CLAT entrance exam for Admission.when you are going to take an LLB course, CLAT is a mandatory thing for you.
.
And the University like NLU one of the top universities doesn't cooperate admissions without CLAT.
.
Check out the eligibility criteria for Admission,
  • One should be 10+2 passed with 45%
  • SC/ST students must be passed with 40%
  • Maximum age for general candidates is 20
  • maximum age for SC/ST is 22

hello aspirant,

clat exam eligibility criteria is candidate need to pass 10+2 course from a recognized university with 45% marks (general category). candidate from any stream can apply for clat ug irrespective of their age, as age criteria has been removed by BCI. so you may apply for clat. hope I have solved your query.

Dear Aspirant,

CLAT is an entrance examination for admission in NLUs(NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITIES) for their undergraduate course . Its an offline-based exam, CLAT is conducted at around 40 centres around the country for admitting candidates to undergraduate law programs in the 21 participating NLUs.

The application form of CLAT 2020 is expected to be released around the 2nd week of January; candidates will have around 3 months time to submit the application form. The admit card of CLAT 2020 will be released around the 2nd week of May. CLAT 2020 will be of 2 hours duration and include 200 multiple-choice questions of 1 marks each; note each incorrect attempt will invite penalty of 0.25 marks.
