CLAT 2016 counselling guidelines has been announced by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Patiala on May 24, 2016. Candidates aspiring to take admissions in the five-year integrated law programmes at participating 17 NLUs can check here counselling procedure of CLAT 2016.
CLAT exam committee has also announced that it will be publishing first allotment list of CLAT 2016 counselling on June 1, based on the preferences marked by candidates.
Moreover, candidates from various categories will be allotted the colleges in first allotment list. RGNUL Patiala will be releasing three more allotment list subsequently.
The counselling of CLAT 2016 will be held in online mode. After the publication of allotment list, candidates can secure seat in their allotted colleges by exercising options and remitting counselling fee within the specified duration.
Once the candidates have remitted the counselling fee of Rs. 50000 and marked options for second counselling round, a second list will be published with final allotment as well as list of waiting candidates.
The candidates who did not complete the counselling procedure by remitting the application fee would be dropped out of the list and the next candidate as per the merit list will be allotted the seats.
CLAT Committee has not published the merit list of CLAT 2016, yet which is resulting in angst among CLAT test takers.
The counselling of CLAT 2016 will end by July 6 after the completion of admission formalities at the allotted NLUs.
