Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) has announced the scheduling of CLAT on May 11, 2014 on the very first, followed by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGS IPU) and Aligarh Muslim University respectively. The question arises whether AMU and GGS IPU weren’t aware of the dates pre-scheduled by GNLU? If they were then why did they fix the same date for the conduct of exam, knowing several of the law aspirants will be taking the other exams too.

Careers360 has tried to contact the concerned authority of the Universities regarding re-scheduling of the exam dates. Shall update you the same as soon as any reply comes.

If your query is related with doing 5-year BALLB program being offered at University Law College (ULC) I must say no. Because it has its own admission process. Basically, CLAT is an entrance exam for taking admission in NLUs. clat ki study ke liye kitne month ka time sufficient hai...? please answer

Aman Raj Student Expert 18th Nov, 2019

Hello Bablu

Every other person has a different brain which works in different frequencies.

What I can study in 10 hours, maybe you can study in 2.

So this is really irrelevant.

But still to answer your question, according to some statistics, a good amount of 4–5 hours a day can help you get into a tier 1 college, but those hours should be with complete dedication and for 5-6 months.

I score 56% in BA graduation degree and i am in general category. Now i am able to give CLAT exam and get admission in NLU?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 18th Nov, 2019

CLAT is for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. For CLAT PG, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Law. But because your highest qualification is BA and that is not a law degree, you are not eligible for CLAT PG. But now talking about CLAT UG, you need to have completed your 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 45%. It is 45% for General Category and 40% for Reserved Categories. As there is no upper age limit for CLAT, you can appear for CLAT UG. Not based on your BA qualification but based on your 12th qualification.
