does unilateral impairment in one ear comes under pwd for a for a general candidate .

jishua thomas 26th Jan, 2020

hello aspirant,

Social Security disability benefits are available for profound hearing loss or deafness, but not for moderate or mild hearing loss. The Social Security Administration (SSA) details how significant your hearing loss must be to qualify for SSDI or SSI disability benefits. Don't turn a deaf ear to hearing disability in India. Hearing impairment is not an immediately visible disability. However, you will be all ears when we say one in 250 children in India suffers from severe to profound hearing loss. The minimum degree of disability should be 40% in order to be eligible for any concessions/benefits. The statistics are staggering - 360 million people in the world suffer from disabling hearing loss. This constitutes a substantial 5.3% of the world's population.

hope this helps

Is it necessary to give clat exam to get admission in DU colleges or can we get admission only by giving DU enterance exam?

Siddhi Shenoy 6th Jan, 2020

Hello Ayushi,

The CLAT exam is only for the candidates who wish to pursue undergraduate or 5 year integrated LLB course. If you want LLB, you have to answer CLAT, as your admission process is based upon the merit in this entrance exam. is there sports quota in du for llb??

Ameya Narendra Parkar 5th Jan, 2020
Dear Tanmay,
Yes Delhi University offers Sports Quota.
Under Sports and ECA quota, University of Delhi offers not more than 5% reservation. Further, Delhi University (DU) gives colleges the freedom to decide the actual number of seats that are to be filled under sports quota (not more than 5%).
These seats are determined on the basis of facilities available, requirement of the College as well as other relevant factors. Information regarding sports quota seats alongwith requirement of sportspersons in different Games/ Sports with the respective Position/ Event / Weight Category are provided by DU colleges on their official website as well as their notice board.

I hope this information helps you
