LAWCET 2014 counselling begins on October 16 for admission to law courses in Universities across Andhra Pradesh and their affiliated colleges. Qualified and eligible candidates of LAWCET 2014 are required to attend the certificate verification for web counseling for admission to LL.B (3-years courses) and BBA LL.B / BA LL.B / B.Com LL.B (5-years integrated courses).

The LAWCET 2014 counselling sessions will continue till October 18, 2014. According to officials, candidates are advised to follow the schedule as per the notification for LAWCET 2014 counselling.

According to the notification, only those candidates who have graduated (10+2+3 pattern) in any stream from a recognized University with 45% of aggregate marks or hold an equivalent degree are eligible to attend the counselling for  3 - years LL.B / BL.

Also, candidates who have less than the prescribed percentage but have secured 45% or more in any PG Degree (Masters Degree) or B.Ed are eligible to attend the LAWCET 2014 counselling.

 

To be eligible for 5 - year LL.B / BL course candidates must have passed 10+2 with 45% of aggregate marks. However, there is a relaxation of 5% for candidates belonging to SC / ST categories.

 

Candidates must report to any of the following helpline centres for LAWCET 2014 counselling assistance. The list of helpline centres along their address is given below:

  • LAWCET - 2014 Hall Ticket
  • Memorandum of marks of SSC or equivalent
  • Memorandum of marks of Intermediate or equivalent
  • Memorandum of marks in Qualifying Examination
  • Provisional / Degree Certificate of Qualifying Examination (Degree)
  • Study / Residence Certificate for the previous 7 years of study  to prove as local candidate of particular area of Andhra Pradesh / Telangana or Non Local
  • Integrated Community Certificate (Caste Certificate)
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Income Certificate (obtained on or after January 01, 2014)
  • Sports / PH /NCC / CAP Certificate, if any

  • No separate call letters are sent to the individual candidates.
  • Special category candidates (NCC / SPORTS / CAP / Physically Handicapped) should attend Certificate Verification only At Nizam College, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad or Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi on October 13, 2014 at 2: 00 PM for LL.B 3years and LL.B 5years

The qualified and eligible candidates of LAWCET 2014 Examinations who have participated can exercise the web options if required and those who have not participated in the first phase can attend certificate verification for Web counselling for admission into LL.B (3-years courses) and BBA LL.B / BA LL.B / B.Com LL.B (5-years integrated courses) on October 25, 2014 at any one of the help line centres mentioned above and can exercise web options on October 25 and 26, 2014.

The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda,conductss its own entrance test for admission to BA-LLB(Hons) and LLB.


Eligibility for BA-LLB(Hons): Candidate needs to have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with 45% aggregate.

Eligibility for LLB: Candidate needs to have passed graduation with at least 45% marks for general,40% marks for SC/ST category from a recognized University.Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility for BA LLB 5 years is aspirants must pass class 12 with minimum 45% marks from any stream from a recognized board.

And for 3 years LLB students must hold a Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized board with minimum 45%marks.

Dear Aspirant,

This year AP LAWCET is taking place on May 8 2020. The conducting body of the exam os Sri Krishnadevaraya University of Andhra Pradesh where admissions for 3-year LLB and 5 year LLB are taken. The exam is an online exam with MCQ questions and includes subjects like General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Mental Ability and Legal Aptitude. The languages in which it can be given are English and Telugu. The duration of the test is one hour and 30 minutes.

To answer your question, it is important to look at the eligibility criteria for the exam. It does not offer LLM separately but offers 5 year integrated law exam for which the score for your 10+2 is taken into consideration and it marks that the aggregate percentage required is 45%. The exam has no age limit. So yes, you are eligible to appear for the same. If you wish to appear for LLB, it requires 10+2+3 aggregate to be 45%. But unfortunately, neither does AP LAWCET offer LLM, nor are you eligible to pursue the same without a LLB. So you can consider pursuing one for LLM.

For the application, you are required to apply online in the 3rd week of March 2020 when the applications will be open. You will have to take care while you upload the documents required for the exam as they have to be in a certain format.

Hello,

As long as your graduation degree is recognized by government and is authorized by any affiliated institution/university , you are eligible for LLB.  It doesn't matter if it is from distance education.

Hii Sai,

  • Minimum Qualification: The candidates applying for 3 years LL.B. should have passed a Graduate Degree (in the pattern of 10+2+3) in any discipline from a recognized University.

  • Minimum Marks Required: Applicants should have scored a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in their qualifying degree (42% in the case of OBC applicants and 40% in the case of SC/ST applicants).

  • AGE:Age limit is 20 years (22 years in the case of reserved categories).
