MH CET Law 2016 has been postponed by a month and the exam will be conducted now on June 18 and 19. The exam for five-year integrated law and three year LLB programmes was originally scheduled to be held on May 22, 2016. As per the official notification of DTE Maharashtra, the law entrance exam will be held in online mode only.Maharashtra State CET Law Cell officials said that the state shall be conducting a Common Entrance Test for admissions to the undergraduate law programmes in each law institution of the state. The applications for MH CET Law 2016 will begin from May 10, 2016.[Enroll for 3 year LLB programs and 5 year integrated LLB programs and Crack Admission in Top Law Institutions]
Aseem Gupta, Commissioner and Competent Authority of State CET Cell, Maharashtra said, “Admissions to undergraduate law programmes including five-year integrated and three-year LLB shall be offered through a common entrance exam which will be held on June 18 and 19, respectively. MH CET Law 2016 Applications will be announced on May 10 and can be filled till May 23, 2016.”

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is conducted by Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra. It is a state level exam and for applicable for undergraduate students. The programmes offered are 3- year LLB course and 5-year integrated law course. It is an online objective type paper.
For preparation of the exam, you need to know the schedule of the applications to understand your planning and how to schedule your time-table.
For 5 year LLB:-
The application starts 20, Jan 2020
The application ends 2nd March, 2020
The exam will be on April 12, 2020
The results will be declared on 28th April, 2020
For 3 year LLB:-
The application starts 19th March, 2020
The application ends 6th May, 2020
The exam will be on 28th June, 2020
The results will be declared on 14th July, 2020
So, this means that if you are applying for 3 year LLB, you have more time to prepare and so you must schedule your studies within that time limit and vice versa.
The next step towards preparation is knowing the exam paper pattern and syllabus.
There will be 150 questions in the exam which will be objective-type. There will be no negative marking and each correct answer will be give 1 mark. The duration of the paper will be 120 minutes/ 2 hours.
The syllabus is as follows:
1. Legal aptitude and legal reasoning (30 marks) :
2. General Knowledge and Current affairs (40 marks) :
3. Logical and analytical reasoning (30 marks):
4. English (30 marks) :
5. Maths (50 marks) :

No there is no book provided by the university for entrance preparation purposes, although the market is flooded with books which can help you in cracking the entrance exam, but finding the right book is a herculean task, for this you will need to analyse previous year exam questions and go through sample papers, but i have attached a link for your help which will guide you through the syllabus for the exam, paper pattern and also the books which you should refer,
