DU LLM Merit List 2018 – University of Delhi’s Faculty of Law has released DU LLM 2018 merit list in online mode on July 7, 2018. Delhi University’s LLM Merit List is based on the DU LLM 2018 Result. The DU LLM Merit List also serves as the Rank Card of DU LLM as it contains the category-wise ranks obtained by candidates as per their DU LLM Score and let them know if they have secured admissions to the 54 LLM Two Year seats on offer at the Faculty of Law, Delhi University. Only those candidates who successfully clear the Cut Off of DU LLM set by the Faculty of Law can find a place on the Merit List and be considered for admission to the DU Two Year Master of Law (LLM) programme. In the PDF file that opens, candidates can search and find their name or DU LLM Roll Number and see the corresponding category-wise and overall Rank along with the status of admission.
Candidates should note that their name will only be present on the DU LLM Merit List if they have cleared the DU LLM Cut Off and have obtained a good DU LLM 2018 Score which qualifies them for admissions in Delhi University’s Two Year postgraduate Master of Law (LLM) programme.

DU LLM Merit List 2018 Important Points
The DU LLM 2018 Merit List has been released by Delhi University’s Faculty of Law on July 7, w.
The Merit List of DU LLM will be released online by Delhi University and also be made available offline on the Notice Board of the Faculty of Law at DU.
Candidates will need to clear the category-wise Cut Off score for DU LLM, as specified by Delhi University, in order to qualify for a position on the DU LLM 2018 Merit List.
The merit list of Delhi University’s LLM admissions will be arranged in the order of the scores obtained by candidates out of 700 in the DU LLM 2018 Entrance Examination.
A total of 54 seats will be available for candidates from different categories in the LLM courses offered by the three law centres of Delhi University through the DU LLM 2018 Entrance Examination. A DU LLM Waiting List will also be released upto a certain rank as specified by DU so that seats of candidates who do not take admission can be covered.
The final position obtained by DU LLM candidates in the Merit List of DU LLM will determine the law centre to which they gain admission to from among the three participating institutes of DU LLM.
The candidates will be invited for DU LLM Counselling 2018 on the given date and time slot as per the positions they obtain in the DU LLM Merit List 2018.
The DU LLM 2018 Merit List that will be issued by Delhi University will be considered as final for DU LLM admissions and no further correspondence will be entertained from candidates in this regard.
DU LLM Merit List 2018 Categories
The general category seats in the Merit List of DU LLM includes all candidates on the basis of their order of merit including all reserved category candidates. The reserved category candidates is eligible for admissions under the general category merit as well. The categories under which DU LLM candidates can apply for admissions is given below.

The DU LLM Cut Off for the above given categories apart from general is expected to be 10% less than the Cut Off specified for general category candidates by the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. No reserved category students will be excluded from being considered for admissions to the general category seats as long as they have obtained the requisite DU LLM Merit requirements.
DU LLM 2018 Score
- The DU LLM 2018 Result which has been released on July 7 that reflects the scores obtained by candidates in the DU LLM 2018 Entrance Examination as per their right and wrong answers.
- The DU LLM Score is the determining factor in the calculation of the DU LLM Cut Off score and the final positions of candidates in the DU LLM Merit List 2018.
- The DU LLM 2018 score is available for each category of candidates who have appeared for the Entrance Exam of Delhi University’s LLM programme.
- Candidates have to follow the same procedure to check the DU LLM Score as they did for checking the DU LLM Result 2018. They will need to visit the official link given on this page and enter their DU LLM User ID and Password created at the time of the DU LLM Application Form submission. No individual communication regarding the DU LLM Score will be sent to the candidates.
- The scores of DU LLM 2018 as determined by Faculty of Law, Delhi University, will be considered final and no further communication will be entertained by the University authorities in this regard.
How to break tie in DU LLM Merit List 2018
There is a chance that two or more candidates may end up scoring the same DU LLM Score and thereby obtain the same position in the DU LLM Merit List 2018. In such cases, the candidates will be bracketed in the same rank for the purpose of admissions until it is required to break tie when these candidates exceed the number of seats available.
In such a case, the admission will be determined as per the following order of steps -
The candidate who has secured higher marks in their LLB or any other immediate lower qualifying exam will be ranked higher and given admission.
If the marks in the LLB/immediate lower qualifying degree exam are the same, the candidate who is older in age will be given admission.
If both of the above steps fail to yield a satisfactory result, then the admission will be determined by drawing lots among the candidates with tied DU LLM scores who are present at the draw of lots.
