About AILET 2025
NLU Delhi has opened the AILET 2025 application form on August 1, 2024. Candidates can fill out the AILET 2025 application form online from the official website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The deadline for AILET 2025 registration is November 18, 2024. The university had earlier announced the AILET 2025 exam date on its official website. AILET 2025 is scheduled to be conducted on December 8, 2024. NLU Delhi has also started offering BCom LLB programme from this academic year. The total seat intake of NLU Delhi B.Com LLB is 60 seats and the admissions will be done through AILET 2025 exam.
The university will conduct AILET 2025 in offline mode at designated exam centres across the country. Through the AILET 2025 exam, candidates will be admitted into the 5-year BA LLB and B.Com LLB programme of the university. The exam is held once a year. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the AILET 2025 counselling and admission process to obtain seat allotment. The counselling will be conducted in multiple rounds after publishing the AILET 2025 merit list for each round containing details of the candidates invited for the counselling process. The AILET 2025 cut-off will be available in the merit list published for each round of counselling. The university offers 110 seats for admission into its BA LLB programme and 50 seats in BCom LLB programme through AILET 2025 .
What is AILET Exam?
All India Law Entrance Test, popularly known as AILET is a national-level law entrance exam conducted by NLU, Delhi for admission into its 5-year integrated BA LLB, LLM and PhD programmes. Candidates may note here that NLU Delhi is the only national law university along with NLU Meghalaya that is not part of CLAT 2025. All the remaining 24 NLUs accept CLAT scores for admission into their 5-year LLB programmes.
AILET 2025 Exam Details
The university had revised the AILET exam pattern last year to make the exam more student-friendly. The time duration of AILET BA LLB 2025 will be 120 minutes. The AILET 2025 syllabus consists of three sections - English, current affairs and general knowledge, and logical reasoning. Changes have also been made to the AILET PG exam. AILET 2025 courses and seat intake
NLU Delhi offers 120 seats in the BA LLB (Hons.) programme and 60 seats for BCom LLB (Hons). Out of this, 110 seats in BA LLB and 50 seats in B.Com LLB will be filled through AILET 2025. Aspiring candidates looking to appear for NLU Delhi’s AILET 2025 must meet the eligibility norms as prescribed by the university. The AILET eligibility criteria 2025 pertains to educational qualification, minimum passing marks and age limit. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria of AILET 2025 will not be considered for admission to law programmes at NLU Delhi even if they are shortlisted after the exam. AILET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
National Law University, Delhi offers 5-year integrated BA LLB and LLM through AILET and AILET (PG) exams. Each of these courses have different eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria also differs for candidates from different categories.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 are eligible for admissions in BA LLB. The minimum passing marks is 45% for general and OBC categories and 40% for candidates from SC/ST categories. Candidates appearing for class 12 exams in April/May 2025 are also eligible to apply provided they submit their qualifying certificate at the time of admissions.
Candidates who have completed 5-year LLB or a 3-year LLB are eligible for admissions in LLM. The minimum passing marks is 50% for general and OBC categories and 45% for candidates from SC/ST categories. Candidates who are appearing for their final year LLB exams are also eligible to apply provided they obtain the LLB degree with the required marks by the time of admission.

NLU Delhi has opened the AILET 2025 application form on August 1, 2024. Interested candidates would be able to register online by visiting the official website- nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The deadline to submit the AILET application form 2025 is November 18, 2024.
To complete the application process of AILET 2025 candidates would be required to pay the registration fee of Rs. 3500 for the general category and Rs. 1500 for SC/ST candidates. The BPL candidates belonging to SC and ST categories would be exempted from the application fees for AILET 2025.
After closing the application window, NLU Delhi will also open AILET 2025 application correction window. Successfully registered candidates will be able to make changes in the AILET application form through their login.
How to fill AILET 2025 application form?
The application form for AILET 2025 could be submitted by following the steps given below -
Step 1: Online registration - Candidates need to visit the official website of NLU Delhi - nludelhi.ac.in. Then, click on 'Register to Apply Now' where they need to create a signup or login account by providing details such as name, email id, create password, date of birth, mobile number and contact address.
Step 2: Select the law course - As the AILET 2025 exam is conducted for undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in law, candidates should first select the course in the application form - BA LLB, LLM or PhD After the selection of the course candidates should click on 'Apply Now" to move in the next step.

There are a total of 150 questions in each paper. And, each question carries one mark, while following the official AILET exam pattern 2025, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
AILET 2025 sample paper - Time duration

NLU, Delhi will publish AILET 2025 answer key a day after the exam on its official website. The AILET 2025 answer key will be provisional. Candidates will get an opportunity to submit their objections. After considering all the objections, the university will release the final answer key of AILET 2025. Candidates would be required to pay the fee of Rs 500 per objection to submit their objections. In case the objections raised by the candidates are found to be valid, the university will refund the objection fee.

- There will not be any deduction for the unattempted questions
- Candidates who have marked two answers to a question will get a penalty of 0.25 mark for such a question.

AILET Previous Year Exam Analysis 2024
As per the experts and students, unlike other years AILET question paper was very lengthy, similar to CLAT question paper. The difficulty level of the question paper ranged from moderate to difficult. But, almost all other sections were included including the legal aptitude section. The legal aptitude-related questions were included in the logical reasoning.

Given below is a detailed section wise analysis of AILET 2024.
Section A: English Language
This section, consisting of 50 questions carrying 50 marks, was of moderate compared to last year. The questions were from grammar and language, contributing to a balanced assessment.
Section B: Current Affairs & General Knowledge
The GK and current affairs section was moderately difficult. As per experts, the paper leaned heavily towards current affairs, with some static questions in between. There were many questions on economy, testing students' understanding of important concepts. The mix of static and current questions was similar to the pattern observed in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
Section C: Logical Reasoning
It was the most difficult section in the paper. There were legal-oriented principal-fact-based questions, which were not seen in the previous two years. Critical reasoning had long, statement-based inquiries, along with assumptions and inference. The analytical reasoning (AR) section had syllogisms and coding-decoding questions. It was bit lengthy as well.
National Law University, Delhi will declare the AILET 2025 result two-three days after the exam. The result of AILET 2025 will be declared on the official website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The AILET result 2025 would be declared as per the AILET 2025 final answer key after considering all the valid objections. During the AILET result 2025, the university will publish the AILET 2025 merit list and wait list along with their category and ranks.
NLU Delhi also publishes detailed exam statistics regarding the number of candidates appeared and category-wise bifurcation at the time of publication of AILET result. There are no minimum qualifying marks for AILET 2025. AILET 2025 Merit List - Tie-Breaker Rule
If two or more candidates have secured the same marks, their ranking will be determined based on the tiebreaker rule given below
The candidate with higher marks in the logical reasoning section gets a higher rank
If the tie remains, then the senior candidate gets a higher rank
If the tie is still unresolved, then computerized lots will be drawn to determine the candidate's rank.

The university will publish the AILET 2025 cut-off on its official website. The AILET 2025 cut off will be published for each round of AILET 2025 counselling. Mode of Counselling: Offline
NLU Delhi will conduct the AILET 2025 counselling after publication of the AILET result. Candidates would be required to first register for counselling process by paying the required AILET 2025 counselling registration fee. After closure of the counselling registration window, NLU Delhi will publish the merit list and conduct seat allotment in multiple rounds. The shortlisted candidates in the AILET 2025 merit list are required to pay the admission fee and complete other formalities to finalise their admission.
AILET counselling 2025 - Steps
Step 1: Check AILET invite list 2025 - The university first releases the list of shortlisted candidates for AILET 2025 counselling after declaring the result. Candidates three times more than the available seats will be invited for AILET counselling 2025. Only those candidates who will receive the invitation will be eligible to appear in the counselling.
Step 2: AILET 2025 counselling registration - Invited candidates must login to their AILET account to complete counselling registration online. Such candidates also have to pay the counselling registration fee and print the acknowledgement slip for future reference.
Step 3: Provisional admission list for AILET 2025 - Once the registration window is closed, the university will release the course-wise first provisional AILET 2025 merit list for each round of counselling. The merit list is provisional and such candidates are required to complete the admission formalities to finalise their admission.
Step 4: Admission fee payment - The candidates who are shortlisted will have to pay the counselling fees and the pay the remaining admission fees within the deadline.
