About SLAT 2024
Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has released the SLAT 2024 admit card for Test 1 on April 25, 2024. SIU closed the SLAT 2024 registrations on April 14, 2024. SAT 2024 will be conducted in two phases. The first phase is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, 2024 while the second phase is scheduled to be conducted on May 11, 2024. The SLAT 2024 admit card would also be released separately for the two phases. For the first phase, the SLAT hall ticket would be issued on April 25 and for the second phase, it would be issued on April 30.
The result of SLAT 2024 will be announced on May 22, 2024. The university would admit students into BA LLB and BBA LLB programmes of the four Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS). The four SLS campuses are SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Nagpur.
The selection process of Symbiosis Law Schools involves a Written Aptitude Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview. The WAT tests a candidate’s writing ability by requiring the candidate to write descriptive answers on topics such as politics, social issues, gender, IT, education and more. The personal interview assesses the candidate's personality and suitability for a legal profession.

Before applying for the Symbiosis Law Admission Test, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the SLAT eligibility criteria as prescribed by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). If candidates are found to be not conforming to the eligibility criteria prescribed by the university, then they will not be able to be admission into the law courses, even if they have cleared the exam.
The eligibility criteria pertain to stipulations regarding minimum educational qualification, passing marks and age limit. Given below are the details of the eligibility criteria.

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has closed the SLAT 2024 application form on April 12. It had opened SLAT 2024 registration on December 12, 2023. Candidates had to apply online at set-test.org to complete the SLAT 2024 application form. The registration fee for applying for SLAT 2024 was Rs. 2250.
In addition to paying the SLAT registration fee, candidates had to also pay a registration fee for each of the programmes they wished to enrol into at each of the participating Symbiosis Law School.

Preparation for SLAT requires preparing on three fronts - the SLAT exam, WAT and PI. Candidates must focus on all the three to finally gain admission into one of the Symbiosis Law Schools.
Important Tips
Study the syllabus and exam pattern properly to understand what the exam expects the candidates to do.
Create a section-wise study plan and a daily study time table. All the sections carry equal weights in the exam.
Practise with good study material. There are study materials specially designed for SLAT preparation which are updated as per the latest syllabus and exam pattern. Search for good books for each of the sections in the SLAT exam.
Practise with SLAT mock tests and sample papers to build speed and also assess the level of preparation and pinpoint any weak areas that need improvement.
Allocate time efficiently both during the preparation and solving mock papers and also on the exam. Time management is key to succeed in competitive exams to maximise attempts and score high marks.
As per the SLAT 2024 exam pattern, there are 60 questions divided across five sections. Each section carries twelve questions. Each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

Candidates must also appear for a Written Aptitude Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI) after appearing for the exam. The SLAT exam carries only 50% weight in the selection procedure. WAT carries 20 % weight and PI carries 30% weight in the selection process.
Symbiosis International (Deemed University) issues separate SLAT admit card 2024 for each of the two phases of the SLAT 2024 exam. The SLAT admit card for the first test has been issued on April 25, 2024. The admit card for the second test would be issued on April 30, 2024. The SLAT admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam hall.

The university will announce the SLAT counselling 2024 schedule on its website - set-test.org. Shortlisted candidates from the SLAT 2024 exam will be called to attend the counselling and admission process.
The selection process at Symbiosis Law Schools consists of the SLAT exam and also WAT and PI. While the SLAT exam carries 50% weight, WAT and PI carry 20% and 30% weight respectively.
The counselling process will be held separately for the four SLS that are part of the Symbiosis group as per their respective schedules. It must be noted that during the application process, candidates are required to separately apply for programmes at different SLS.
Merit List
Symbiosis International (Deemed University) will publish the SLAT 2024 merit list for each round of the admission process. The SLAT merit list will contain names of the selected candidates who have successfully cleared the exam, and WAT/PI stages.
Each SLS would publish its own merit list for different programmes.This list is only provisional as candidates would be required to complete the admission process.
