AILET PG Exam 2026: Notification, Date, Application Form, Syllabus & Pattern

Candidates desirous of admission to the LLM programme at NLU Delhi must meet the prescribed AILET PG 2026 eligibility criteria. AILET PG eligibility criteria 2026

• Qualifying exam: The candidate needs to be an L.L.B graduate from a recognized university recognised by Bar Council of India.

• Marks in qualifying exam: The candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying degree exam.

• Relaxation: Reserved category candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category are eligible for 5 per cent relaxation in minimum marks.

• Those appearing in qualifying exam: Such candidates who are appearing in final year L.L.B examination may also apply.

• Age: No age bar is prescribed for admission to LLM programme.

NLU Delhi will open the AILET PG 2026 application form tentatively on 1st week of August 2025 on its official website. Interested candidates will be able to register online by visiting the official website -nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. To complete the AILET PG 2026 application process candidates must pay the prescribed registration fee which is Rs. 3500 for the General/OBC/EWS/Foreign Nationals/Kashmiri Migrants and Rs. 1500 for SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates. The BPL candidates belonging to SC and ST categories would be exempted from the application fees for AILET PG 2026. The applicant must take note to use only genuine and verifiable information for filling the application form otherwise the candidature of the candidate may be cancelled at any stage of the admission process.

Steps to fill AILET application form 2026

• To start the application process, the applicant had to first get registered by entering details like email id, mobile number, and date of birth.
• The candidate had to select and confirm a password for the new candidate account.
• Next, the candidate has to select the program of study from the drop-down menu and lock the application.

Candidates can go through the following AILET LLM 2026 preparation tips, to make the exam preparations smooth and stress-free.

1. Start preparing at least 12-15 months before the exam date, as it gives ample time to grasp the difficult legal topics.
2. Focus on the Logical Reasoning section, as it has more questions and covers 47%  weight of the paper.
3. Understand the exam pattern and syllabus in detail.
4. Join AILET /CLAT coaching, as these coaching institutes conduct regular mock tests for CLAT and AILET  LLM examinations to identify the areas where a candidate needs improvement
5. Study at least 3 hours daily for a year to prepare for AILET LLM.

NLU Delhi will issue the AILET LLM 2026 admit card two weeks before the exam. The AILET LLM admit card 2026 will be available on the official website and candidates who completed the application process were allowed to download it by entering log-in credentials. The AILET PG 2026 admit card is a mandatory document to appear for the exam. It includes details such as the exam date and time, exam centre details, reporting time and important instructions for the exam. NLU Delhi will release the AILET LLM 2026 answer key shortly after the exam on its official website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections against the provisional answer key for AILET PG 2026 within the deadline. by paying the prescribed objection fee and proof to support their objection. After considering the valid objections, the university will release the final AILET PG answer key 2026.

Steps to object to the provisional AILET LLM 2026 Answer Key

• Visit the official website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
• Login into the AILET LLM account
• Click on 'View Objections'
• Select the type of objection: related to the question or answer key
• Enter the objection details
• Make a payment of Rs. 500 per objection and submit.

National Law University, Delhi will declare the AILET LLM 2026 results tentatively 3 to 4 days after the exam. The university will publish the results as per the AILET PG 2026 final answer key after considering the valid objections. Candidates can check the AILET PG  2026 result status by entering their login credentials on the 'AILET LLM results login window'. The details included in the AILET LLM results list are the marks, rank, and qualifying status of the candidate.

NLU Delhi will publish the AILET PG cutoff 2026 for each round of counselling. The cutoff of AILET PG 2026 is category-specific and indicates the last ranks for which candidates are given admission to the LLM course in their respective categories. AILET LLM Cut Off 2024 (up to Round 5)

National Law University Delhi will declare the AILET PG 2026 counselling schedule after declaring the results. The university will conduct the AILET PG counselling 2026 in online mode for a total of four rounds as per the official notification, more rounds will be added in case of vacant seats. Candidates will be able to register for the counselling in online mode on the official website by paying the counselling registration fee.

AILET LLM Counselling 2026 - Steps to register

Step 1: Check AILET invite list 2026 - The university will release the list of shortlisted candidates for AILET PG 2026 counselling after the declaration of results. Candidates three times more than the available seats will be invited for AILET LLM counselling 2026. Only those candidates who will receive the invitation will be eligible to appear in the counselling.

Step 2: AILET 2026 counselling registration - Invited candidates will have to login to the admission portal using their registration number or application number as well as date of birth. They will also have to pay the counselling fee and upload the necessary documents and print the acknowledgement slip for future reference.

Step 3: Provisional admission list for AILET 2026 - The university will release the course-wise first provisional admission list after the verification of the documents submitted by the eligible candidates along with the waiting list.
