National Law University (NLU), Delhi will tentatively open the AILET PG 2026 application form in the first week of August 2025. Interested candidates who meet the AILET PG eligibility criteria can submit the AILET PG application form 2026 through the official website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. NLU Delhi will conduct AILET PG 2026 in the second week of December 2025. Through the All India Law Entrance Test PG, candidates will gain admission to one-year LLM programme of National Law University, Delhi. The NLU Delhi admissions to LLM programmes will be done based on the scores secured by the candidate in the exam. The AILET PG 2026 entrance exam is conducted in offline mode at the designated AILET exam centres all over the country. The AILET PG seat intake 2026 for the LLM programme is 70+10 (70 seats on AILET PG merit; 5 seats each for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO). One supernumerary seat for Kashmiri Migrants. The AILET LLM syllabus 2026 tests the legal knowledge of the candidates to pursue a post-graduate program in law. The All India Law Entrance Test is conducted once every year for admission to BA LLB and LLM courses at the National Law University, Delhi. AILET PG All India Law Entrance Test for LLM (session 2025)
Candidates desirous of admission to the LLM programme at NLU Delhi must meet the prescribed AILET PG 2026 eligibility criteria. AILET PG eligibility criteria 2026 include important points such as qualifying exam passed, minimum marks in qualifying exam, and age limit. AILET PG eligibility criteria 2026
Qualifying exam: The candidate needs to be an L.L.B graduate from a recognized university recognised by Bar Council of India.
Marks in qualifying exam: The candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying degree exam.
Relaxation: Reserved category candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category are eligible for 5 per cent relaxation in minimum marks.
Those appearing in qualifying exam: Such candidates who are appearing in final year L.L.B examination may also apply.
Age: No age bar is prescribed for admission to LLM programme.
NLU Delhi will open the AILET PG 2026 application form tentatively on 1st week of August 2025 on its official website. Interested candidates will be able to register online by visiting the official website -nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. To complete the AILET PG 2026 application process candidates must pay the prescribed registration fee which is Rs. 3500 for the General/OBC/EWS/Foreign Nationals/Kashmiri Migrants and Rs. 1500 for SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates. The BPL candidates belonging to SC and ST categories would be exempted from the application fees for AILET PG 2026. The applicant must take note to use only genuine and verifiable information for filling the application form otherwise the candidature of the candidate may be cancelled at any stage of the admission process.

The AILET LLM admit card 2026 will be available on the official website and candidates who completed the application process were allowed to download it by entering log-in credentials. The AILET PG 2026 admit card is a mandatory document to appear for the exam. National Law University Delhi will declare the AILET PG 2026 counselling schedule after declaring the results. The university will conduct the AILET PG counselling 2026 in online mode for a total of four rounds as per the official notification, more rounds will be added in case of vacant seats. Candidates will be able to register for the counselling in online mode on the official website by paying the counselling registration fee.
Step 1: Check AILET invite list 2026 - The university will release the list of shortlisted candidates for AILET PG 2026 counselling after the declaration of results. Candidates three times more than the available seats will be invited for AILET LLM counselling 2026. Only those candidates who will receive the invitation will be eligible to appear in the counselling.
Step 2: AILET 2026 counselling registration - Invited candidates will have to login to the admission portal using their registration number or application number as well as date of birth. They will also have to pay the counselling fee and upload the necessary documents and print the acknowledgement slip for future reference.
Step 3: Provisional admission list for AILET 2026 - The university will release the course-wise first provisional admission list after the verification of the documents submitted by the eligible candidates along with the waiting list.
Step 4: Admission fee payment - The candidates who are shortlisted will have to pay the counselling fees and then pay the remaining admission fees within the deadline.

Total no. of seats offered for admission in 2020 is 2175. For UG programmes are 1308. The number of seats available for the special category is 325. The total number of seats offered to the candidates of the state where the NLUs are located is 621.
