About AILET PG 2020

National Law University, Delhi conducts the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) PG exam for admitting candidates to its one-year LLM program; currently the intake capacity for the program is 70 seats, not including another 10 seats reserved for foreign nationals. The university has announced AILET PG 2020 test will be conducted on May 3, 2020 (from 10 am - 11.30 am). The test will be conducted online, include 150 MCQs that has to be completed in 1 hour 30 minutes. AILET PG 2020 application form opened in online mode on January 15 and can be filled till April 8, 2020. 

Successfully registered candidates will be issued AILET 2020 admit cards from April 22. The result of AILET 2020 will be declared around the last week of May and will be followed by the counselling. To participate in counselling, the candidate needs to have qualified AILET PG 2020.

Candidates seeing admission to LLM program offered by NLU Delhi need to meet the prescribed eligibility criteria of AILET PG 2020.   • Qualifying exam: The candidate needs to be a L.L.B graduate from a recognized university recognized by Bar Council of India

  • Marks in qualifying exam: The candidates must have scored minimum 55% marks in the qualifying degree exam

  • Relaxation: Reserved category candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category are eligible for 5 percent relaxation in minimum marks

  • Those appearing in qualifying exam: Such candidates who are appearing in final year L.L.B examination may also apply

  • Age: No age bar is prescribed for admission to LLM program

Admission authorities has released the online application form of AILET PG 2020 on January 15, 2020. Eligible candidates have to duly fill and submit the application form last date, which is April 8. The applicant must take note to use only genuine and verifiable information for filling the application form as otherwise the candidature of the candidate may be cancelled at any stage of the admission process.

Steps to fill AILET application form 2020

  • To start the application process, the applicant were has to first get registered by entering details like email id, mobile number, and date of birth.
  • The candidate will also have to select and confirm a password for the new candidate account.
  • Next the candidate has to select the program of study from the drop-down menu and lock the application.
  • Fill in the application, including personal and academic details
  • Upload signature and photograph
  • Pay the application fee 
  • Submit the form.

NLU Delhi will announce the result of AILET PG 2020 tentatively in the last week of May. The result would be declared for all candidates who have appeared in the offline exam in online mode and PDF format. 

AILET PG 2020 result will contain the following details:

  • Name and roll number of the candidate
  • Sectional and total marks scored in the examination
  • Qualifying status

Candidates who qualify in the examination will be eligible to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process.

The cutoff of AILET PG 2020 would be category-specific and indicate the last ranks for which candidates are given admission to the LLM course in their respective categories. AILET 2020 cutoff will be determined based on various parameters like number of applications applying for admission, seat intake, performance of applicants in the exam, and also the category to which the applicant belongs.

Applicants are advised to go through previous years' cutoff data to get an idea as to how much they need to score in their respective categories to get admission.

Mode of Counselling: Offline

Candidates who qualify in the AILET PG exam and are included in the merit list can participate in AILET PG 2020 counselling process, which will be conducted in offline mode at the university campus. Eligible candidates will have to report in person on the designated day along with all prescribed documents, including originals and photocopies.

Document verification would be a big part of the counselling process, and all candidates are required to successfully complete the process. Those whose verification fails would be out of the admission process.

AILET consists of 150 questions; each question carrying one mark and negative marking of 0.25 is applicable for every wrong answer. AILET contains the following sections- English, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics. There is a time limit of 90 minutes. What is syllabus for CLAT and AILET PG entrance exams?

The AILET syllabus for LLM consistes of topics from law of contracts, Law of torts, criminal laws, constitutional laws and legal theory.

From each of the above  topics there are 20 questions. It is an offline exam with MCQ based answers.

total time provided is 90 mins.For each correct answer 1 mark will be awarded and negative marking of 0.25 for wrong answers.

Hello! AILET 2019 will be conducted in offline mode on May 5, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. NLU Delhi will administer AILET 2019. Apart from the topics in the LLM syllabus, candidates will also be required to write an essay on the given topic. Questions will be of objective-nature where the candidates will be required to choose one option out of the four options given.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for AILET PG 2019 even if you are in the final year of your law degree. The eligibility criteria laid out for AILET PG requires you to have a law degree recognised by BCI to be eligible for admission here. But you can take the entrance exam even in your final year of law. Your admission will be provisional subject to you passing your law degree and scoring a minimum aggregate of 55% when your result is out.
