About AP LAWCET 2020

Online application form of AP LAWCET 2020 has commenced on March 11; aspirants need to submit completed applications before the last date. Sri Krishnadevaraya University will conduct AP LAWCET 2020 on May 8, 2020. The university will conduct the exam on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and admissions will be offered in 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB. The intake capacity is 3020 seats for five-year integrated program (BA LLB – 2780 seats and B.Com LLB – 240 seats) and 5866 seats for 3 year LLB program. AP LAWCET 2020 will be an online exam that will include MCQ questions. The paper will include questions from General knowledge and Current Affairs, Mental Ability, and Legal Aptitude sections. Admit cards will be issued to successfully registered candidates from May 3 onward. Post exam, AP LAWCET 2020 result will be out around 3rd week of May; note that before declaration of results answer keys will also be made available. Online counselling will be held for candidates who qualify in AP LAWCET exam based on merit list which will be prepared using LAWCET scores..

APSCHE releases the eligibility criteria of AP LAWCET 2020 for various programs that the candidate has to fulfill to be considered for admission.  The AP LAWCET eligibility criteria 2020 will pertain to the academic qualification of the candidate, including qualifying exam passed and minimum marks, and age limit, among others.

One must have passed the qualifying exam in 10+2+3 pattern scoring at least 45%  marks in aggregate.

One needs to have passed Intermediate examination (10+2) pattern scoring at least 45% marks in aggregate.

Candidates belonging to OBC are eligible for relaxation of 3% marks in minimum marks, while SC/ST candidate are eligible for relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks

The exam conducting body has released the application form of AP LAWCET 2020 in online mode on March 11. The AP LAWCET 2020 application form is for admission to various law courses offered by the university and may be filled by desirous candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.  One must use only genuine information only when filling the AP LAWCET application form, and submit it before the last date. Any candidate who furnish false information runs the risk of disqualification. 

Steps to fill the AP LAWCET application form 2020

  1. Registration - One will have to enter name, valid email id and mobile number, and other details to get registered and create a candidate account.

  2. Filling of the application form - Upon registration, the candidate needs to proceed to fill the application form which will have different sections like academic qualification, contact details, and personal information. The candidate will also have to select a course and an exam centre.

  3. Uploading of documents - The documents must be uploaded in the prescribed format only.

  4. Payment of application fee -  In the penultimate step, the application fee has to be paid; refer the table below for fee details.

  5. Submit the application form - Check that the form is complete in all respects before submitting it.

Exam officials will make available the admit card of AP LAWCET 2020 on May 3; it will be available through university website and will not be sent by post or any other means. The AP LAWCET 2020 admit card has to be carried without fail on the day of the exam, or else he/she won't be allowed to take the test. The AP LAWCET admit card will carry such details like name and roll number of the applicant, exam date and time, and name and address of the allotted exam centre. 

How to download AP LAWCET 2020 hall ticket/ admit card

  2. A log-in window will open

  3. One has to fill in payment reference id, registration number, mobile number, date of birth, etc.

  4. On successful log-in, the admit card will be displayed on screen

Sri Krishnadevaraya University will announce AP LAWCET 2020 result tentatively in the 3rd week of May 2020 for all candidates who have appeared in the exam. AP LAWCET result 2020 can be checked online and would contain important information, including overall and sectional marks, rank obtained by the candidate, and the qualifying status. A key feature of the result is it will be used for preparing AP LAWCET 2020 merit list which will be used for counselling and seat allotment process.  

Steps to check AP LAWCET 2020 result

  1. Go to result portal and click on appropriate link

  2. Log-in by entering registration and hall ticket number

  3. The result would appear on the screen

  4. Download and take a printout of the result

Mode of Counselling: Online

Post the declaration of results, exam authorities will hold the AP LAWCET 2020 counselling, tentatively in the 1st week of October 2020. AP LAWCET 2020 counselling will be open to candidates who qualify in the online-based exam and are included in the merit list. A counselling schedule will also be released by the admission authorities, including the date for verification of documents. The AP LAWCET 2020 seat allotment will be done based on both the merit rank of the candidate and also choices opted for admission, including course and college.

As per the official website,it doesn't mention any dates, the official dates will be announced by the concerned authorities at the official website of APSCHE at.https://sche.ap.gov.in/APSCHEHome.aspx, you can stay updated at this site.

Meanwhile,the application form date has been extended till 17th April without late fee.

In Ap lawcet application 2020..it is noted that income certificate is mandatory and i dnt have ration card yet..i need a confirmation that whether both are mandatory for this application or not??and if not compulsory, can i leave both empty or unfilled in that application??

AP LAWCET provides reservation for candidates who belongs to Non-creamy layer Or any other reservation category, so in order to verify your income and status they need the scanned copy of Income certificate and ration card. If you do not want any benefit regarding ant special category than you may leave those columns.

Other documents required for application form of AP LAWCET 2020 :-

  • Scanned copy of marksheets of class 10th and 12th.
  • Scanned passport size photograph.
  • Scanned signature
  • Valid ID Proof like AADHAR/PAN card/Driving License/Voter ID card/ID card of school (self attested)
  • Caste certificate.

In Ap lawcet 2020 application, it is noted that income certificate is mandatory..but i dont have both the income certificate and ration card ?If it is not compulsory..can i keep those 2 empty or unfilled in application??and i need a confirmation that whether both are mandatory or not??

Your income certificate and ration card is mandatory if you have applied for benefits and reservation category of the non-creamy layer or low income group or else these documents are not mandatory and can be avoided.

The list of documents required are:

  • The mark-sheets of 10th and 12th exams. The admit card number issued for the concerned exam.

  • Scanned copy of photograph.

  • Scanned copy of signature.

  • Identity Proofs like Aadhaar Card/ Driving License/ PAN Card/ Voter’s Identity Card/ Passport/ College Identity Card (self-attested)

  • Caste Certificate, if required
