About TS LAWCET 2021
Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) conducts the TS LAWCET (or Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test) for admission to 3-year and 5-year LLB courses offered by various law colleges in the state of Telangana. TS LAWCET 2021 exam will be of 1 hour 30 minutes duration, comprise 120 objective-type questions, and will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The online application form of TS LAWCET 2021 will be released on March 24, 2021, and may be filled by candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, including academic and domicile requirements. As part of the TS LAWCET application form 2021 filling process, the candidate is required to first pay the application fee, fill in education, personal and contact details. The TS LAWCET 2021 exam will be conducted sometime in August 2021; admit cards will be issued to successfully registered candidates by July 20, 2021. Post exam, TS LAWCET 2021 answer keys will be released, which will contain answers to questions asked in the exam. The result of TS LAWCET 2021 will be declared around the 4th week of August, which will be followed by shortlisting of candidates (based on TS LAWCET merit list 2021) for counselling and seat allotment.
Currently, there are around 3190 seats for the 3-year programme and around 1480 seats for the 5-year integrated programmes. 5-year integrated LLB programmes on offer include BA LLB, BBA LLB, and B.Com LLB.

The eligibility criteria of TS LAWCET 2021 will be released by the exam conducting body, which the applicant will have to satisfy in order to be considered for admission. Among the TS LAWCET 2021 eligibility criteria one must meet include that of academic requirement, nationality and age limit.

TSCHE will release the TS LAWCET 2021 application form on March 24, 2021; the form will be available in online mode only. Such candidates who meet TS LAWCET eligibility criteria 2021 may fill and submit the application form before the last date. Note that for late submission to the application form (after the last date), candidates will have to pay a late fee to submit TS LAWCET 2021 application forms, starting with Rs. 500, which can go up to as much as Rs. 4,000.

Pay the application fee - The first step in the TS LAWCET application process is the payment of the application fee. Online payments can made using: net banking, and credit or debit cards. Another option is to visit a TS - AP centre, which are online centres operated by the authorities at various locations, and make the payment.
Check payment status: Upon payment of the fee, check your fee payment status. If payment is successful, move to the next step.
Registration - Fill in the registration form and create an applicant account.

Osmania University will declare the result of TS LAWCET 2021 tentatively in the 4th week of August at lawcet.tsche.ac.in; the result would be released for all candidates who have appeared in the online exam. TS LAWCET result would be available in the form of rank cards, containing such information like the TS LAWCET rank 2021, sectional and overall marks obtained by the candidate in the exam. TS LAWCET Merit List 2021
Soon after the declaration of results, admission officials will prepare the TS LAWCET 2021 merit list using the marks scored by the candidate in the entrance exam. One fundamental reason for preparing the TS LAWCET merit list is to shortlist candidates for the counselling and seat allotment process. Depending on the number of seats available for various programmes, admission officials will make general and category-specific merit lists; and using these merit lists candidates will be invited for counselling.
Typically those ranked higher in the TS LAWCET merit list 2021 will get preference during the seat allotment process.
Candidates with similar marks: How to decide the TS LAWCET merit rank
It may happen that two or more candidates may end up securing the same marks in the state-level exam. In such an event, the ranking of such candidates will be determined in the following way:
Tie-breaking procedure
- Candidate who has a higher score in Part A will be allotted a higher rank
- Next, marks of Part B will be considered
- If tie remains, they may be bracketed together, but at the time of admission, the candidate senior in age will be given preference.
The admission conducting authority will release the category-wise TS LAWCET cutoff 2021 for all the participating colleges. Also, the TS LAWCET 2021 cutoff will be course-specific. The cutoff would indicate the last rank for which admission is given to a course for a particular category or institute. Candidates who score below this cutoff in the chosen course (or category or institute), he/she will not be considered for admission.
The various factors on which TS LAWCET 2021 cutoff would depend include the number of applicants, their performance in the LAWCET 2021 entrance exam, number of sanctioned seats, category of the candidate, etc. If any of these parameters change, the cutoff would also automatically change.
Mode of Counselling: Offline
Osmania University, Hyderabad, is responsible for the conduct of TS LAWCET 2022 counselling for such candidates who have qualified in the exam; eligible candidates will be shortlisted for TS LAWCET counselling based on their ranks in the state-level exam. Such candidates whose names are included in the shortlist of counselling will have to undergo counselling formalities like document verification. choice filling and locking.
As part of the document verification process, the candidate will have to get their documents verified at designated centres. Post document verification, the candidate has to participate in web-counselling, during which choice will have to be filled and locked. Since TS LAWCET 2021 seat allotment will be based on both the merit rank of the candidate and also selected options.
