Geeta Institute of Law also known as GIL Panipat was established in 2007. GIL Panipat has been approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and is affiliated with Kurukshetra University. GIL Panipat courses are BA LLB Hons, BBA LLB Hons, LLB and LLM. GIL Panipat admissions are based on the last qualifying merit of the applicants.

Careers360: Tell us about your domain and your work profile. At the professional level, did you pursue the same field you were interested in or you switched?

Himanshu: I am practicing as an Advocate at the High Court of Punjab & Haryana. Litigation was always my interest, and I continued in the same field after graduating.

Careers360: Can you briefly tell us about your career path so far?

Himanshu: After my BBA LL.B (Hons.) from Geeta Institute of Law, I started practicing under senior advocates, and gradually took up independent matters in civil, criminal, and constitutional law.

Careers360: Is the industry work different from what you learnt at Geeta Institute of Law?

Himanshu: Yes, practice involves real-time challenges and court handling, but GIL prepared us well with moot courts and internships.

Careers360: How do you think your time in college has added value to your life, both professional and personal?

Himanshu: It gave me clarity of thought, confidence to speak, and a strong foundation in legal basics, which are essential in court practice.

Careers360: What was your initial thought process when you joined Geeta Institute of Law?

Himanshu: I wanted a platform that offered both academic rigor and courtroom exposure, and GIL provided both effectively.

Careers360: You must have spent a memorable time at your College. Do you miss being a part of it? Share a few good memories.

Himanshu: Definitely. I miss the energy of competitions, hostel life, and long hours of moot court prep with friends.

Careers360: Briefly take us through your life at the campus, the activities you used to do and your routine life.

Himanshu: It was balanced—attending classes, reading in the library, and prepping for moots or attending court internships.

Careers360: Apart from academics, what were the other activities you were involved in and how did it enrich your life?

Himanshu: I was part of the moot court society and attended legal awareness camps. These helped develop my public speaking and legal application skills.

Careers360: How did you keep updated with the industrial requirements and what was the role of the institute in it?

Himanshu: By regularly interning and attending the guest lectures arranged by the institute. They exposed us to current legal practices.

Careers360: You are a proud alumnus of this top College. What is the best part of Geeta Institute of Law from a student’s perspective?

Himanshu: The proactive faculty support, the focus on practical learning, and the overall environment that encourages participation.

Careers360: What is your suggestion/guidance for the BBA LL.B aspirants?

Himanshu: Be courtroom-ready—work on communication, read bare acts regularly, and learn from every internship and interaction.

Its a decent college and is a private university and is affiliation approved back in the year 1992. It offers various law courses like BA LLB, BBA LLB, LLB, and LLM. Its the best law college in Haryana among top 15 law colleges in India. Admission is on the basis of marks/rank obtained in CLAT entrance examination.

Eligibility - Candidates must passed or appearing class 12 with in any stream with minimum 45 percent marks aggregate from a recognized board.
