About KLEE 2019

KLEE 2019, also known as Kerala Law Entrance Examination 2019, is a law entrance exam conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination. KLEE is conducted for those candidates who wish to get admissions into the five-year integrated L.L.B, three year L.L.B, and LL.M programmes offered by law colleges in Kerala. 

Candidates appearing for respective programmes under the purview of KLEE 2019 will have to compete for 1295 seats in five year L.L.B, 625 seats in three year L.L.B, and 136 seats for L.L.M programmes.

KLEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

KLEE L.L.B 5 year Eligibility Criteria

CEE Thiruvananthapuram has released KLEE five-year integrated L.L.B eligibility criteria 2019 on April 29, 2019. The eligibility criteria mentions educational qualifications and age limit which a KLEE five year L.L.B candidate must fulfill to be deemed eligible for the course. For a detailed insight into KLEE five year L.L.B 2019 eligibility criteria, read below.

  • Candidates should have cleared HSC examination of Board of HSC education, Kerala or equivalent exams recognized by Kerala Universities with a minimum of 45% as aggregate (for the general category), 42% (for the SEBC candidates), 40% (for the SC/ ST category.)
  • Candidates must be of minimum seventeen years of age to be deemed suitable for KLEE five year L.L.B programme.

  • As per the order of Supreme Court of India, there is no upper age limit to appear for the exam.

  • Candidates should be Indian citizens.

Academic Qualifications

  • The candidate must have graduated from any faculty of any university which is recognised by Universities of Kerala.
  • He/she should have passed the bachelor’s degree exam with 45% as minimum aggregate, if from the general category. If from SEBC category, the minimum aggregate is 42%. For SC/ ST category, the aggregate is 40%. Rounding off is not permitted.
  • Candidates who have obtained first degree certificates through distance and correspondence education will also be considered eligible for admissions into the KLEE three year LL.B.
  • Candidates yet to appear/ have appeared for the qualifying examinations in 2019 will also be considered eligible for KLEE three year LL.B. However, their eligibility will be confirmed only when they furnish a provisional certificate/ certificate of degree and mark sheets of qualifying examination on the admission day.

 Age Limit

  • The eligibility criteria of KLEE three year LL.B 2019 prescribes no age limit for the exam. Candidates of any age can appear for KLEE three year LL.B.

Nativity

  • Candidates willing to appear for KLEE three year LL.B should be citizens of India.

Academic Qualifications

  • Candidates who wish to appear for KLEE L.L.M should have cleared L.L.B with a minimum of 50% from University of Kerala or any university recognized by the universities of Kerala. 

  • Candidates who are yet to take or have taken their final year L.L.B exam are also allowed to apply for KLEE L.L.M 2019. However, they will be considered eligible for the final stage of admission only if they are able to furnish provisional or degree certificates of the qualifying examination on the day of admission.

Age

  • There is no upper age for candidates to appear for the entrance test.

Nativity

  • Candidates appearing for KLEE L.L.M for 2019 should be Indian citizens of Kerala origin.  

CEE, Thiruvananthapuram, will be releasing KLEE 2019 application form online. 

  • KLEE five year L.L.B application form 2019 was released in online mode on April 29. The last date of the application form had been extended to May 14, 2019. The application process was earlier scheduled to close on May 8, 2019.
  • KLEE three year L.L.B application form 2019 was released on May 2, 2019. The last day to fill application form had been extended up to May 16. The earlier deadline for application was May 12, 2019. 
  • Submission of KLEE L.L.M application form 2019 had started on February 21, 2019.

 How to Fill KLEE Application Form 2019

 KLEE 2019 candidates can refer to the following steps to fill in the application form.

 Registration

  • Candidates had to click on the official link to start filling in the application form.
  • Upon clicking on the link, candidates would fill in the required details along with a strong password to register themselves and get an ‘application number’.
  • Next, candidates had to fill in all the important details in the application form of KLEE 2019. They must fill correct details on the form to avoid any hassles or rejection of admission at later stages. Also, candidates are advised to click on the ‘save’ button from time-to-time, so that they do not lose out on a major chunk of data due to any unforeseen glitch while filling the form
  • After filling in and checking if all the details entered are correct, candidates had to click on the link named ‘final submission’.

 Candidates can pay fees against the application form of KLEE 2019 through online mode with the help of two gateways – a) online payment b) e-challan. Following is the fee breakup for all courses.

 Online payment

  • Candidates willing to proceed with fee payment through online payment can use credit/ debit card.

E-challan

  • Candidates who wish to make their payment with the help of e-challan will first have to take a printout of E-challan by clicking on the link named ‘print e-challan’.
  • Candidates can visit any of the head and sub post offices in Kerala to make the payment in cash. They will have to submit the e-challan with the requisite cash in the post office counter.
  • Candidates must not forget to collect the counterfoil of e-challan from the post office official.
  • Upon successful payment, candidate will see that the ‘Pay Application Tab’ has turned green.
  • If the payment tab has not turned green even after payment, candidates must inform the post office officials.

Uploading of Photograph and Signature

Candidates will also have to upload their photographs, signatures, and documents in the application form.

Printing the Application

  • After completing the above steps, candidates will have to click on the link named ‘print application’.
  • Candidates must retain the print out and soft copy of the completed application form of KLEE 2019 till the time of admission for further references.

  • Upon clicking the link, the candidate will have to enter the application number and password.

  • Candidates having any objection with the answer key of KLEE 2019 can submit their complaints to CEE with requisite documents and with Rs. 100 per question (in case of KLEE L.L.M, Rs. 200 per question) payable by DD at Thiruvananthapuram in favour of CEE.
  • Candidates can submit the objections against the provisional answer key up to 5 pm on June 14, 2019.
  • Final answer key will be released by the university after considering all the complaints.

KLEE 2019 - Rank List 

  • On the basis of these results, a rank list is prepared. 
  • Also, in case of any tie in KLEE L.L.B, candidate who has scored higher in 'Aptitude for Legal Studies' is given preference. If the tie still persists, candidate scoring higher in 'English' is preferred. If the tie still does not get resolved, candidate older in age is given preference and is ranked higher.  
  • In case of KLEE L.L.M, candidates scoring higher in Part 1 is given preference. If the tie still persists, candidate older in age is given preference and ranked higher.

Candidates can refer to the below mentioned procedure for counselling of KLEE 2019. 

  • Candidates will have to first click on the official link for counselling. 
  • They will have to log into their account with the help of their roll no., application number, password. Upon logging in, they will be directed to their homepage. 
  • They can find the list of courses and colleges out of which they will have to choose their desired ones.
  • They will have to mention the option number for course and colleges to fix their preferences.
  • Candidates will then need to register their options and save the data after selecting their preferences.
  • Candidates must take out a printout of the option list.
  • After the stipulated time for candidates to fill the options is over, candidates will be able to find the colleges and courses allotted to them.
  • As final steps, candidates will have to pay the fees at the allotted college on the stipulated date to finalise their admissions.

Greetings!

The application form will be released on the official website of CEE cee.kerala.gov.in. Applications for 3 years LLB is expected to begin in the 2nd week of August 2020. You need to follow the given below steps to fill the form :-


  • The first step will be the registration of the candidates by providing basic person details to generate an application number and password.
  • Using this application number and password, the candidates can open their application form and provide rest other details into it.
  • Scanned copies of photograph and signature of the candidate should also be uploaded into the application form.
  • Other important documents (list given below) should also be uploaded into the form in scanned format.
  • Once all the entries are made into the application form, it can now be submitted along with the required application fee.
  • After successful submission, the candidates should take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.
