Army Institute of Law has decalred the AIL LET 2024 result on June 17, 2024. Candidates can access the result from the official website - ail.ac.in. Shortlisted candidates will be able to take part in the admission and counselling process. Earlier, the institute conducted AIL LET 2024 exam on June 9, 2024. It had closed the AIL LET 2024 application form with late fee of Rs 1000 on May 13, 2024. Candidates could apply online form the institute's official website.  Candidates who have cleared 12th grade or are appearing in the board exams were eligible to apply for admission into the BA LLB programme offered by the institute. The admissions will be conducted through the AIL LET 2024 exam. The deadline to submit the AIL LET application form 2024 without a late fee was May 8, 2024. The institute had opened the AIL LET 2024 application form on on April 9, 2024.

The question paper of AIL LET 2024 will have questions from general knowledge, current affairs, maths and legal awareness. All candidates who register for AIL LET 2024 will be able to download the AIL LET 2024 admit card from May 30, 3034 onwards. The admit card of AIL LET 2024 is a mandatory document for appearing for the law entrance exam and it will also inform about the candidate's roll number, exam centre location and address.  

What is AIL LET exam?

The Army Institute of Law offers a 5-year integrated BA LLB programme through an entrance test popularly known as AIL LET. The institute also offers an LLM programme through AIL LET PG. The entrance exam is conducted in online mode, at the designated test centres across the country. The online-based AIL LET is a two-hour-long test consisting of 200 MCQ-based questions. Candidates are shortlisted based on their AIL LET scores for counselling and admission.

Candidates must ensure they meet the AIL LET 2024 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The eligibility criteria of AIL LET 2024 prescribed the institute includes requirements about the minimum qualification, minimum marks in the qualifying exam, and age limit. Educational Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification: The candidates must have cleared 10+2 exam from Punjab School Education Board or an equivalent exam recognised by Punjabi University, Patiala.

  • Minimum Marks in qualifying exam: Candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate marks in the qualifying exam should be 45%. 

  • Open University: Candidates who have completed 10+2 through the Open University system directly without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible to apply.

  • Compartment papers: Candidates who have passed 10+2 in compartments are not eligible for admission.

Provisional application: Applicants appearing in the qualifying exam in March/ April can take AIL LET 2024. However, such candidates need to produce their qualifying certificate with the minimum prescribed marks at the time of admission.

Age limit

There is no age limit for appearing in the AIL LET 2024 exam or pursuing BA LLB or LLM programmes from the institute.

How to Fill AIL LET 2024 Application Form?

  • Visit the official website and click on the official application link.

  • Obtain login credentials by registering for the exam using basic details such as name, phone number, date of birth, email id, and other details. Upon successful registration, a registration number will be created.

  • Log in to the newly created account to continue the application form-filling process. There will be sections like academic, personal and contact details, which have to be duly filled. 

  • Upload photograph, signature, and other mandatory documents. Note that the size of documents to be uploaded must be – passport-size photos (<120 Kb), army category certificates (<1.5 MB), documents (<1.5 MB)

  • Pay the stipulated application fee. .

Candidates appearing in AIL LET 2024 should carry the following items while going to the examination hall.

The institute will conduct the counselling of AIL LET 2024 in online mode. Only those candidates who qualify AIL LET 2024 exam and are included in the merit list will be invited for the counselling. The cutoff for the Army Institute of Law for candidates from an Army background is between 65 to 70 marks, while for civilian candidates it ranges from 130 to 135 marks The AIL LET 2024 exam was conducted on June 9, 2024 in a computer-based online mode at allotted test centres for admission to BA LLB course offered by All Mohall. The AIL LET 2024 registration without a late fee was open till May 8, 2024. Around 3000-4000 students appear for the entrance test. Out of the total number of seats Le 80, 60 are reserved for defence background, 16 for those having Punjab domicile and 4 for the civil category.
