Allahabad University LLB (LAT) Exam 2025: Date, Application Form, Syllabus & Pattern

Allahabad University will release the LAT 2025 application form tentatively in the second week of May 2025. Candidates can submit the application form of LAT 2025 online within the prescribed deadline. Candidates must provide only genuine and verifiable information when filling out the LAT application form, as use of false and misleading information can lead to disqualification.

To fill the application form in a smooth and error-free manner, candidates are advised to keep the following documents ready.  

• Mark sheets of 10th and 12th class  

• Date of birth certificate as proof of age 

• Income certificate of parents 

• Resident certificate

• Caste certificate (if seeking admission under reserved categories)

How to fill LAT application form 2025?

• Registration: Click on the registration link to access the registration form. Enter details like name, mobile number, valid email id and other details as requested to create an applicant account. 

• Fill the form: Log-in to the newly created applicant account and fill in academic, personal and academic details, etc.

• Pay the application fee: The candidate has to next pay the prescribed application fee of Rs. 800 (SC/ST/PH candidates need to pay only Rs. 400) in online mode.

• Submit the form: After paying the fee, submit the form and take a printout of the completed application form.

Important Notes

• Those filling the application form while also appearing in the qualifying exam must note that they have to complete the graduation with minimum marks before the counselling and seat allotment process. Such candidates will need to show the passing certificate at the time of admission, failing which, their candidature will be cancelled.

• NRIs, Foreign Nationals, or those who have graduated from foreign universities do not have to fill the application form. The university will conduct a separate admission and application process for such candidates of which the details will be communicated by the Faculty of Law. 

• Candidates should fill in all the details in the application form and support it with the requisite documents. Incomplete applications will be outrightly rejected.

Candidates appearing for the 3-year LLB admission test of Allahabad University must fulfil the LAT 2025 eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria of LAT 2025 includes requirements about the educational qualification and minimum qualifying marks. Any candidate who is found to be not complying with the prescribed LAT eligibility criteria,  his/her candidature can be cancelled at any stage of the admission process.

• Educational qualification - The applicant must hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent institute. 
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to appear in LAT 2024. However, such candidates will need to provide proof of qualification at the time of admission or counselling process.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks - The minimum aggregate marks in the qualifying exam is 45% for general, 40% for SC/ST, and 42% for OBC categories.

The exam pattern will tell the candidate how to prepare, for instance, since LAT includes objective-type questions, so one should focus more on objective questions rather than getting stuck on subjective questions during exam preparation. • The candidate may mark topics, say, as important, neutral, and less important, as this will enable him or her to invest their energies in scoring topics. 
• Regular practice and revision is the key, so integrate them into your process. Divide the course into a certain number of blocks, and assign a specific time period to each of the blocks. Try to follow the time-table. Also, do timely revision. 
• Practice last years' question papers. Take mock-test sessions wherein you finish a question paper within the same time duration as that of the exam. Many candidates mistake simply skimming through the sample papers instead of practising them. But, solving these question papers will not only teach candidates how to solve tricky questions but will also habituate them to the pattern, which can aid in time management.

The admit card of LAT 2025 is an important document for sitting in the entrance exam, it carries vital details like the name and roll number of the candidate, date and time of the exam, and exam name and address.

Allahabad University will declare the LAT 2025 result in online mode tentatively two weeks after the exam. Candidates can download the AU LLB 2025 result from the official website - aupravesh-2024.cbtexam.in. The result of LAT 2025 will be available in the form of a scorecard which can be downloaded using the registration portal.

• Select LLB programme

•  Login at the candidate portal using the enrollment number and password.

• The LAT result would be displayed on the screen in pdf format

• Download and take a printout of the LAT result.

The admission of candidates to the three-year L.L.B programme will be on the basis of the merit rank of the candidate, which will be prepared using LAT 2025 scores. Note that only such candidates who qualify in the exam will be eligible to participate in the LAT 2025 counselling process: 

LAT 2025 - Minimum Qualifying Marks 

To qualify the LAT exam, candidates must score the minimum qualifying exam. However, this doesn't mean that the candidate will be offered admission. Those securing equal or more than minimum qualifying exam will be considered for preparing the merit list. The final shortlisting will be done based on merit cum preference. LAT 2025 minimum marks criteria

Allahabad University will conduct LAT 2025 counselling in online mode. The AU LAT counselling 2025 will be conducted in multiple rounds. Candidates who have cleared the AU LAT 2025 cut-off for each round can attend the counselling session to finalize their admissions into the university’s three-year L.L.B programme. Candidates must be physically present at the specified counselling venue on the specified date and time along with all the requisite documents.

Important notes 

• Candidates must physically attend the counselling session, fulfil all the eligibility criteria, furnish the requisite documents, and successfully undergo the document verification procedure to be allotted a seat in the university for the three-year L.L.B programme. 

• Those candidates who are found to be not eligible for admission on the counselling day will be denied admission.

• After the counselling round, candidates have to submit the fees and fulfil other admission-related procedures to finalize their admissions into the university.
