National Law School of India University and Nalsar University of Law being one of the top-ranked universities show high placement percentages. Here the placement percentage is calculated on the basis of graduated students who are placed in companies, law firms etc. Shanmugha Arts Science Technology & Research Academy despite being in the 15th rank shows excellent placement performance.
However, Alliance University has a poor placement percentage. More than 96 per cent of the batch admitted in 2017-18 graduated in 2021-22. But, the college could place a mere 20 per cent of the batch graduated. This shows a high rate of competent law graduates without a job in 2021-22.
We can possibly conclude from this analysis that the college cannot invite enough competent companies to the college for the placement of the students. There could also be a chance that students were not well versed in legal knowledge to get a job. However, we cannot rule out the fact that some students willingly would not opt for a job. They might be interested in going for a higher education or planning to prepare for some competitive exam.
