MH CET Law Application Form 2020 - The DHE Maharashtra has released MH CET law 2020 application form for 5-year LLB, on January 21, the last date to fill the application form is March 2. The application form of MH CET law 2020 can be filled in online mode only. The MH CET law application form 2020 can be filled in five steps such as providing the basic information, uploading the documents, filling the educational details, fee payment and others. The entrance exam for five-year LLB will be conducted on April 12 which forms the basis for admissions to around 10,000 seats offered by the MH CET law participating colleges.

MH CET Law 2020 application form for three-year LLB will be released separately, on March 19. The intake capacity for 3-year LLB program is around 15,000.

MH CET Law Application form 2020 - Things to keep ready

Before filling the application form of MH CET Law 2020, candidates must ensure that they have the following documents and other important items to complete the application process in one go.

  • A valid email id and mobile number

  • Scanned passport size photograph and signature (should be in the prescribed format)

  • Scanned image of Class 10th and 12th mark sheets

  • Other educational qualification details. (Graduation mark-sheet for 3-year LLB)

  • The candidate also needs to keep banking details ready for fee payment.

How to fill the MH CET law 2020 application form?

Candidates will have to visit the official CET admission portal website, mhtcet2020.mahaonline.gov.in to access the application form. Click on ‘apply online’ option. The application form of MH CET Law can be filled in five simple steps.

  1. Online registration

  2. Uploading documents (Photo and signature)

  3. Filling of details

  4. Preview

  5. Fees payment

Step 1 - Online Registration - The first step of the application process is registration and creation of a candidate's account. To start registration, click on ‘Registration "New Registration/Log-in' tab. The candidate will be then re-directed to a log-in page as shown below.

The candidate will have to enter basic details like email id, and mobile number. After entering the details, enter the security code displayed on the screen and then click on "Save and Next" button.

Step 2 - Upload documents - The applicant has to next upload their scanned photo and signature in the prescribed format and dimensions as given below.

Step 3 - Filling of details

The application form will have various sections like - personal details, permanent address, correspondent, and other details. The candidate will also have to select their domicile, category, and certify whether they wish to apply under the PwD category in this step. Other details the candidate has to furnish in this step include account details like name of the account holder, name of the bank and branch, account number, etc.

The candidate will also be required to mention their preference of law examination state, based on which MH CET law exam centre will be allotted.

Step 4 - Preview

Before proceeding to fee payment, the candidate will be able to preview the application form and make any changes if necessary.

Step 5 - Fee payment

After filling the MH CET law application form 2020, candidates will have to pay the application form fee in online mode. The application form fee for MH CET Law 2020 can be paid using debit card/credit card or net banking. Candidates belonging to Maharashtra (Domiciled) are entitled to application fee concession based on their category.

*General category includes all reserved and unreserved candidates of states other than Maharashtra and General category candidates of Maharashtra.

^SC, ST, OBC candidates include only such candidates who are having the domicile certificate of Maharashtra.

If payment is successful, a payment receipt will be generated. Download it and take a printout along with the completed MH CET law application form.

Filling of MH CET law 2020 application form - dos and don'ts

  1. Applicants mustn't wait until the last hour to fill the MH CET Law application form 2020 to avoid inconvenience like disconnection/ website failure due to heavy traffic, etc.
  2. If the information furnished during filling the form is found to be false, the candidate may be prosecuted. So, only genuine and verifiable information should be shared.
  3. Request for change in MH CET law exam centre, time slot will not entertained in any circumstance.
  4. After fee payment, the candidate needs to take a printout of the fee receipt and completed application form and preserve them for future reference.
  5. The MH CET application form 2020 once submitted cannot be edited later. So before final submission, check that the application is complete in all respects.
  6. Candidates who successfully complete the application process will be issued MH CET law admit cards, which will contain information like roll number, date and time of exam, and exam centre details.

How to retrieve lost password?

You will have to regenerate your password by going into the login portal. Click on ‘Forgot Password’ and enter your username. You will receive an OTP on your mobile. Use it to generate a new password.

Steps to retrieve forgotten password:

  1. Click on "Forgot Password" tab on registration page
  2. A form will open where candidate has to enter their username.
  3. Click on "Submit" button next.
  4. A message saying "OTP is sent to your mobile number" will be displayed on screen
  5. Click on OK and enter the OTP you have received on your registered number
  6. Enter and confirm a new password.

How to retrieve lost username?

  1. Click on the "Forgot User name" option on the registration page
  2. A form will be displayed on screen asking for candidate's name, mobile number and date of birth.
  3. On successfully entering the details, click on "Get User Name"
  4. The username will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number.

What after MH CET Law 2020 Application Form?

After successful submission of application forms, the MH CET Cell will release MH CET Law admit card 2020, separately for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses. MH CET 2020 law admit cards for 5-year program will be released on March 27, and for 3-year program on June 5. The MH CET Law admit card is an essential document for taking the law exam and will contain such details like name and roll number of the candidate, date and time of exam, and venue details.

The rank cutoff for MHCET exam for 5 year course at ILS Law college is 58 for OBC category. And closing rank in previousbyear was around 1414,so if your rank is above this in rank list that college will give out you may secure a seat in this college.

I cleared MHCet Law 3 years in 2017 and I took admission in provided college but as Im working in Indian Army and posted in assam, I didnt appear for exam, my admission got cancelled due to failure, so can I again appear for MHCet law and continue my LLB studies.

Yes you can again give the exam and start your law studies. You have to start it from the starting, you will not get any privelage of being the student of the same course. It's okay.

To make a way out of the ongoing competition and secure a good rank, an effective MH CET law 2020 preparation strategy is unavoidable for candidates.

Here are the tips for strategic preparation for mhcet -

You should be well aware of exam pattern and syllabus for an effective preparation.

The entrance exam consists of 150 MCQs. And 120 minutes is given for the exam. 1 mark is awarded for correct answer and there is no negative marking.

The syllabus contains subjects like law, General knowledge and current affairs, reasoning and English.
