Like every year recently, the CLAT 2027 exam date will fall in the first or second week of December. The CLAT exam is conducted in a single shift on Sunday. Candidates preparing for the upcoming law entrance exam must fill in the stipulated time window specified by the Consortium of NLUs. Careers360 contacted the Consortium of NLUs regarding the CLAT 2027 exam date and other important information. The Consortium confirmed that the CLAT 2027 registration will begin in August 2026. However, the Consortium said that the CLAT 2027 exam date has not yet been finalized. In its official response, the Consortium of NLUs said, “The CLAT application form registration will open in August 2026. However, the tentative dates for the exam have not been announced yet.”
The Consortium of NLUs had formed an Expert Committee for CLAT 2027. The expert committee was entrusted to review the CLAT 2027. The expert committee is expected to make some changes to the CLAT 2027 exam based on the following parameters:
Question quality;
The structure of the paper;
The syllabus for the Entrance Examination;
Review comparable entrance examinations like LSAT and LNAT in the US and UK respectively.
Any changes in the CLAT 2027 exam pattern, syllabus, etc., will be notified through the CLAT 2027 notification. The Consortium of NLUs will release the CLAT 2027 notification likely in July 2026.
