All India Bar Examination is a mandotary examination conducted by the Bar Council Of India for a LLB graduate to accquire their BCI license. As it is mandatory for a person to clear it at any cost so, the minimum score all have to get no matter what is 40%. The exam is of total 100 marks so one has to get 40/100.

All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is an open book examination.Passing the AIBE examination is only required for an Advocate who has completed his LLB and is practicing as an advocate in the State Bar council.

you will only be stopped from practicing as an advocate in the state bar council if you are not able to pass the AIBE exam after 2 years.

the exam is conducted twice every year.

As you must be knowing the All India Bar Examination is conducted to assess an advocate’s capability to actually practice law in the country. And yes, it has been made compulasary for all law students graduating 2015-2016 onwards. It is only when you qualify this exam that you are given a license to practise law in India, without which if you practise your study, it will be termed illegal and you can face severe consequences for the same.

Therefore, no, you cannot use the vakalatnama before giving the exam or even in the case of failing the exam.

According to latest updates, a definite date for the AIBE results has not yet been published. However, the exams are expected to be available some time in January only. So, I suggest that you keep checking the news everyday for any updates.

The results of AIBE will be released after the time to raise objections on the answer key of AIBE ends, which is January 10, 2019. Whether or not 35 marks is enough to pass, will be known once cutoff is declared. The passing mark depends upon the cutoff in AIBE, which varies every year and is decided by the BCI. 

The previous year, the cutoff for general category was 38. So, as per the last year cutoff, with 40 marks, you would have qualified the exam. You can track the results on the page given below. It will be updated here as soon as they are announced.
