AP LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has prescribed the eligibility criteria of AP LAWCET 2023. Candidates who want to appear for the AP LAWCET 2023 and take admission to the law colleges in state must meet the eligbility criteria before filling the application form. The AP LAWCET 2023 eligibility criteria covers educational qualification, qualifying marks, age limit and various other parameters. Candidates who fail to meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered for admission even after passing the law entrance exam. Nationality: Candidates applying for AP LAWCET exam 2023 must be Indian nationals as prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974. Non-Indian candidates may also apply if they adhere to the rules and regulations as specified by the concerned Universities.
Local/ Non Local Status: Aspirants of AP LAWCET 2023 exam should also satisfy the local status requirements. As per the AP LAWCET 2023 eligibility criteria, students from Telangana applying for AP LAWCET 2023 must check their eligibility for local status from the official website. Any applicant who has migrated from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh within a period of five years from June 2, 2014 will be considered as a local candidate of AP for admission purposes.
Educational qualification: To apply for the 3-year LLB programme, candidates must be a graduate in any stream in the 10+2+3 scheme while candidates applying for the 5-year course must have passed the 10+2 standard examination. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam may also apply for AP LAWCET 2023.
Note: Candidates who have passed 10+2 or graduation/ post-graduation through a single sitting system directly without any basic qualification are not eligible.
Number of attempts: As per the AP LAWCET eligibility criteria given by the authorities, candidates can attempt the AP LAWCET 2023 exam any number of times.
Sports Quota eligibility: For AP LAWCET exam, candidates can also apply for admissions under the sports quota for certain categories as specified by the authorities. Candidates will be required to submit the relevant documents during admissions.
As per the latest notification issued by Bar Council of India, there will be no age limit for the candidates looking to appear in AP LAWCET 2023 exam for admission to 3-year or 5-year LL.B programmes.
Candidates who meet the AP LAWCET 2023 eligibility criteria can apply online for the entrance exam. The application form of AP LAWCET is released at - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET/. Candidates who meet the AP LAWCET eligibility criteria 2022 can register, fill the application form, upload relevant documents including a photograph and signature and pay the application fee. Candidates must save and print a copy of the AP LAWCET application form 2023 after submitting the details and paying the fee.
AP LAWCET Application Fee: General category candidates need to pay Rs 900, OBC candidates Rs. 850 and SC/ST candidates Rs. 800. The payment for AP LAWCET 2023 can be done through the online payment gateway as specified on the official website.
Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati will conduct the law entrance exam in online mode and a total of 120 multiple choice questions will have to be answered within 150 minutes. The questions will be asked from AP LAWCET syllabus 2023 which comprises general knowledge and current affairs, menstrual ability and legal aptitude. Candidates will get one mark for each correct answer and no negative marking will be there for incorrect answers.
