The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) prescribes the AP LAWCET 2024 eligibility criteria. Candidates planning to appear for the law entrance exam must meet the eligibility criteria of AP LAWCET 2024 which covers different aspects such as educational qualification requirements, age limit, and minimum passing marks. The AP LAWCET 2024 eligibility criteria also include the minimum qualifying marks in AP LAWCET 2024 results to be considered for ranking and be eligible to participate in AP LAWCET counselling 2024. The minimum qualifying mark in AP LAWCET 2024 is 35% for general and OBC category candidates.

Failure to comply with them would lead to candidates' disqualification even if they have cleared the AP LAWCET exam. Therefore, one must go through the eligibility criteria before applying. The eligibility criteria will also be applicable for admission to the colleges participating in AP LAWCET colleges. Around 30 law colleges in Andhra Pradesh accept the scores of the law entrance exam for admission to 5 year LLB and 3 year LLB courses.

  • As prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974. Non-Indian candidates may also apply if they adhere to the rules and regulations as specified by the concerned Universities.

  • Local/ Non Local Status: Aspirants of AP LAWCET 2024 exam should also satisfy the local status requirements. Students from Telangana applying for AP LAWCET 2024 must check their eligibility for local status from the official website. Any applicant who has migrated from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh within a period of five years from June 2, 2014 will be considered as a local candidate of AP for admission purposes.

  • Educational qualification: To apply for the 3-year LLB programme, candidates must be a graduate in any stream in the 10+2+3 scheme while candidates applying for the 5-year course must have passed the 10+2 standard examination. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam may also apply for AP LAWCET 2024.

Note: Candidates who have passed 10+2 or graduation/ post-graduation through a single sitting system directly without any basic qualification are not eligible.

  • Number of attempts: As per the AP LAWCET eligibility criteria given by the authorities, candidates can attempt the AP LAWCET 2024 exam any number of times.

AP LAWCET Application Form 2024

Candidates who meet the AP LAWCET 2024 eligibility criteria can apply online for the entrance exam. The application form of AP LAWCET is released at - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET/. Candidates who meet the AP LAWCET eligibility criteria 2024 can register, fill the application form, upload relevant documents including a photograph and signature and pay the application fee. Candidates must save and print a copy of the AP LAWCET application form 2024 after submitting the details and paying the fee.

AP LAWCET 2024 Exam

AP LAWCET will be conducted in online mode and a total of 120 multiple-choice questions will have to be answered within 150 minutes. The questions will be asked from AP LAWCET syllabus 2024 which comprises general knowledge and current affairs, menstrual ability and legal aptitude. Candidates will get one mark for each correct answer and no negative marking will be there for incorrect answers. The AP LAWCET qualifying mark is 35% (not there for SC/ST candidates). AP LAWCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Ranking

To be eligible for ranking, candidates from the general and OBC categories must score at least 35% marks in AP LAWCET 2024. The minimum qualifying marks in AP PGLCET 2024 for general and OBC candidates is 25%. If such candidates fail to secure, the qualifying marks, they will not be able to participate in the AP LAWCET 2024 counselling process. There is no minimum qualifying marks for candidates from SC/ST categories.

Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, the exam conducting authority will declare the AP LAWCET 2022 result tentatively in last week of July 2022. Candidates will be able to download AP LAWCET result 2022 in online mode at the official website of APSCHE - sche.ap.gov.in.
