PU BA LLB Entrance Exam 2024: Counselling (Started), Seat Allotment

UILS Chandigarh, PURC Ludhiana and PUSSGRC Hoshiarpur have commenced the physical counselling process. Candidates whose name has been mentioned in the merit list can visit the colleges from July 10 to 12 as per the schedule for document verification and admission. Panjab University (PU) published the PU BA LLB 2024 merit list on July 2, 2024. The university will start the PU BA LLB counselling 2024 on July 10, 2024. Earlier, the university published the PU BA LLB 2024 tentative merit list on June 26, 2024 and invited objections. The university released the PU BA LLB admission form 2024 on May 24, 2024 on its official website - uglaw.puchd.ac.in. The last date to fill the PU BA LLB 2024 admission form was June 10, 2024. 

Earlier, Panjab University had declared the PU BA LLB result 2024 on May 15, 2024. Candidates can check the result of PU BA LLB 2024 from the official website - results.puexam.in by entering their roll number. The university had released the PU BA LLB answer key 2024 on May 3, 2024 in online mode on its official website. Candidates were allowed to submit objections and cross objections till May 5, 2024. Panjab University has declared the PU BA LLB result 2024 after considering all the objections. PU had conducted the PU BA LLB 2024 entrance exam on April 28, 2024 in offline mode.

Earlier, it released the PU BA LLB 2024 admit card in online mode on April 23, 2024. Candidates who filled their application form in due time were able to download their admit cards using their login id and password. The university had opened the PU BA LLB 2024 application form in online mode on March 13, 2024. Interested applicants could fill the PU BA LLB application form 2024 till Aprill 10, 2024. 

PU BA LLB 2024 exam is an offline based exam conducted for admission to BA LLB and B.Com LLB programme for a combined intake of 480 seats. The university will conduct seat allotment on the basis of PU BA LLB merit list prepared using PU BA LLB 2024 scores. As per the PU UG law eligibility criteria, candidates who have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks (45% in the case of SC and ST candidates) are eligible to apply for admission. 

What is PU UG Law Entrance Test 2024?

The PU UG Law Entrance Test 2024 is the entrance exam conducted by Panjab University to admit candidates into the 5 year integrated BA LLB and B.Com LLB programmes. The entrance exam is administered in three languages - English, Hindi & Punjabi. The test consists of objective-type questions from Current affairs, Legal aptitude and Mental Ability and English. Candidates seeking to pursue five-year integrated legal education at participating institutes of Panjab University have to appear in PU BA LLB entrance test. The eligibility criteria of PU BA LLB 2024 are conditions that the candidate has to meet to be considered for admission.

PU UG Law exam day guidelines 2024

The admit card carries a series of guidelines for the candidates appearing in the entrance examination. Candidates should read all the exam day guidelines carefully before going to the exam centre. Some of the important exam day instructions are mentioned below.

• Candidates should read the exam centre of PU BA LLB 2024 at least 30 minutes before the examination.
• Candidates going to appear in PU UG law entrance exam must carry a printed copy of admit card and an original photo ID card to their exam centre.
• Candidates should also carry a blue/black ballpoint pen.
• Candidates will not be allowed to carry any electronic items such as mobile phones, watch, earphones, calculator inside the exam hall.
• No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam centre before the completion of the test.
• Candidates are further advised to keep the admit card safe for the remaining admission process.

Panjab University has released the response to objections to PU BA LLB answer key on May 9, 2024. Earlier, the university had released the answer key of PU BA LLB 2024 on May 3, 2024. PU BA LLB answer key is available in online mode on the official website -exams.puchd.ac.in. After the answer key was released the Panjab University has invited objections to the provisional answer key till May 5, 2024.

The university would then publish the responses to the objections to the PU BA LLB answer key and candidates would be allowed to submit cross objections. The final PU BA LLB answer key is released after considering all the objections. The PU BA LLB answer key enables the candidates to get an idea about their performance and how many marks they are likely to score based on the number of correct and incorrect responses. .

Punjab University has declared the result of PU BA LLB 2024 on May 15, 2024. The result of the entrance test is made available on the university website - results.puexam.in. Candidates can check the result by entering their roll no. The evaluation once done by the university shall be absolutely final. Candidates can download the result by logging into the admission portal. The result carries details such as marks scored by the candidates, rank, roll number along with provisional qualification status.

PU BA LLB 2024 merit list

Along with the result, the university also releases a merit list of PU BA LLB 2024. It will carry all the names and marks of all the candidates who appeared in the test. The merit list informs about the rank secured by the candidate. 

The merit list of PU BA LLB 2024 is prepared based on the following criteria.

• PU BA LLB entrance exam score is given 50% weightage. 
• Class 12th score carries the remaining 50% weightage.

The Panjab University will release the cut off of PU BA LLB 2024 at the time of counselling. The PU BA LLB cut off 2024 will indicate the minimum marks required for admissions to Panjab University and its law centres. For each law centre, the PU BA LLB 2024 cut off will be released separately. Candidates coming under the cut off list will have to complete the admission process by appearing in counselling. 

The PU BA LLB 2024 cutoff will be affected by the following factors;

Mode of Counselling: Online

Panjab University will conduct the counselling of PU BA LLB 2024 in offline mode from July 10, After considering the objections against the tentative merit list, it has published the PU BA LLB provisional merit list 2024 on July 2, 2024.  The PU BA LLB admission form 2024 was closed on June 10, 2024. Later, the university also published the PU BA LLB 2024 tentative merit list on June 26, 2024. The counselling is conducted at all law centres of Panjab University separately. Candidates shortlisted through PU BA LLB merit list will have to appear in the counselling process in order to complete the admission process.

The counselling of PU BA LLB 2024 will include steps such as online registration, submitting the documents and educational certificates for verification and conforming the seat by paying the course fee.
