How to download MH CET Law admit card 2020?

  • Candidates will need to visit the official CET website

  • Click on your programme 3-year LLB/5year LLB

  • In the new window, you have to click on ‘login for already registered candidates’. (alternatively, the direct link to download MH Law CET admit card will be provided here)

  • Enter your registration number and date of birth/password and click on ‘log in’

  • Now, click on admit card

  • A new window will appear with MH CET Law 2020 admit card

MH CET Law admit card 2020 - Details to check

After downloading the admit card of MH CET Law 2020, candidates must check all the details given in their admit card. In case of any incorrect information given on the admit card, it must be corrected before the day of the exam. Candidates should note that the mistakes in admit card can be of any nature, including incorrect information, spelling mistakes, photo errors etc. therefore one must check the following details in his/her admit card.

Personal information - The personal information includes the candidate’s name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth and category. One should check that these personal details are correct. Sometimes a candidate’s photo may appear blurred or incorrect, so it is important for candidates to carry a passport size photo at the exam venue.

Programme applied for - Under this, candidates may see the name of the programme for which they have applied.

Roll number and application number - The candidates will be given a roll number for their MH CET Law exam. Along with this candidates will be able to see their application number printed on their admit card.

Exam centre - Candidates will be allotted exam centres throughout the state of Maharashtra. If candidates are more in numbers, the exam centres may also be allotted outside of Maharashtra. Candidates are advised to visit their exam centre a day before their exam to get aware of the centre’s location.

Exam date and Reporting time - MH CET Law 2020 admit card will also mention the exam date, session and time. Candidates will have to make their physical presence on the exam centre within the prescribed date and time. Failing which, the authorities may stop a candidate from entering inside the exam hall.

MH CET Law 2020 - Things to carry to the exam centre and other instructions

MH CET Law admit card will contain the exam instructions and other important information. Candidates are advised to read the exam instructions printed on admit card and follow all the guidelines as provided by conducting body.

  • Carry your MH CET Law admit card to the exam centre. Your admit card should have a recent passport size photo of you affixed at the appropriate space.

  • Bring your original identity card to the exam venue, you will need to produce it during the verification process.

You can carry any of the one id proof from the list given below-

  • PAN card

  • Passport

  • Permanent Driving License

  • Voters Card

  • Bank PassBook with photograph

  • Photo- identity proof issued by the Gazetted officer

  • Aadhar card

  • Employers id with photograph

Important Note - Ration card and Learner’s driving licenses are not valid if cards so avoid carrying them for verification. Also, soft copies of id cards will not be accepted during the verification.

  • Report at the exam centre at least 1 hour before the prescribed time.

  • Do not carry any electronic device inside the exam centre.

MH CET Law Exam 2020

After downloading the MH CET Law admit card 2020, candidates will be able to check the dates for the entrance exam. For 5-year LLB, the entrance exam will be conducted on April 12, 2020, whereas, for a 3-year LLB course, the exam will be conducted on June 28, 2020. As per the MH CET Law exam pattern 2020, the entrance exam will be conducted online, CBT mode and multiple-choice questions will be asked in the exam.

Frequently Asked Question (FAQs) - MH CET Law Admit Card 2020

Question: I have forgotten my password of MH CET Law 2020, how can I access my admit card and application form?


In case you have lost or forgotten your MH CET Law password, you will have to click on ‘Forgot password’ in place of ‘log in’. Once you clicked on ‘Forget password’, the new window will appear where you will have to enter your registered mobile number and then click on “SEND OTP”. You will receive an OTP number on your registered mobile number, enter that OTP on the web page, you will be redirected to choose a new password, enter a new password and you will get access to your application form and admit card.

Question: I want to change my exam centre as the exam centre given in the admit card is too far from my place, How can I change my exam centre?


Unfortunately the conducting body has maintained that any request for change of exam centre will not be accepted. So, all candidates are advised to choose their exam centres carefully at the time of filing your MH CET Law application form, 2020.

Question: I have changed my last name post marriage and the admit card shows my earlier name, Can I change my name in MH CET Law admit card as well?


You don’t need to change your name in admit card. For female candidates, the conducting body has made it clear that in case they have changed their First/Middle/Last name post marriage, they will have to produce their original marriage certificate or original marriage affidavit.

Question: What will be the reporting time for MH CET Law 2020?


Ideally, Candidates should report at the venue at least 1 hour before the exam begins. The reporting time will be mentioned on your admit card, but Generally, during the CET exams 180 minutes are given for exam which includes 120 minutes for attempting MH CET Law exam, and the rest of the time will be available for verification, collection of documents, giving instructions and other formalities.

The admit card for 5-year LLB will be released on March 27. you can download anytime before the day of the exam.

Dear Aspirant,

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is conducted by Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra. It is a state level exam and for applicable for undergraduate students. The programmes offered are 3- year LLB course and 5-year integrated law course. It is an online objective type paper.

For preparation of the exam, you need to know the schedule of the applications to understand your planning and how to schedule your time-table.

For 5 year LLB:-

The application starts 20, Jan 2020

The application ends 2nd March, 2020

The exam will be on April 12, 2020

The results will be declared on 28th April, 2020

For 3 year LLB:-

The application starts 19th March, 2020

The application ends 6th May, 2020

The exam will be on 28th June, 2020

The results will be declared on 14th July, 2020

So, this means that if you are applying for 3 year LLB, you have more time to prepare and so you must schedule your studies within that time limit and vice versa.

The next step towards preparation is knowing the exam paper pattern and syllabus.

There will be 150 questions in the exam which will be objective-type. There will be no negative marking and each correct answer will be give 1 mark. The duration of the paper will be 120 minutes/ 2 hours.

The syllabus is as follows:

1. Legal aptitude and legal reasoning (30 marks) :

  • Indian polity including Executive, Judiciary and Legislature, etc.
  • Law prepositions with facts
  • Constitution

2. General Knowledge and Current affairs (40 marks) :

  • History
  • Geography
  • Latest rules and amendments
  • Current affairs (news, events, awards, etc.)

3. Logical and analytical reasoning (30 marks):

  • Completing arguments, drawing well-supported conclusions
  • Reasoning by analogy
  • Applying principles or rules
  • Sets and statements
  • Puzzle
  • Blood relation
  • Series and related concepts

4. English (30 marks) :

  • Vocabulary
  • Synonyms and Antonyms
  • Analogies
  • Idioms and Phrases
  • One-word Substitution
  • Sentence Improvement and rearrangement
  • Fill in the blanks
  • Errors - Common errors, Spotting errors, inappropriate usage of words, spelling mistakes etc, English Comprehension etc.

5. Maths (50 marks) :

  • Profit and Loss
  • Speed and Distance
  • Time and Work
  • Algebra
  • Average
  • Venn diagram and more...

For get a hang of both of these things, solve previous years question papers and mock tests given online.

Some more things to remember:

  • Planning the schedule will always help you. Start as early as you can for the exam to ace it.
  • Stick to that schedule and respect your time and manage it well.
  • Read newspaper daily.
  • Improve vocabulary in English by taking in information in English through newspaper, magazines or books.
  • Review your mock tests results.
  • Revise as much as you can! Make notes and follow them.
