Difference between clat and ailet as per college bases?
Hello Abhishek,
The Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT) and the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) are both entrance examinations for undergraduate law courses in India. AILET is considered tougher than CLAT. The basic difference on the basis of Institutes is that CLAT has 19 participating Universities but AILET offers admission only to the National Law University in Delhi.
after bcom degree completed can apply to ailet
Dear Aspirant,
Here are the various eligibility criteria to apply in filet for a degree in Law.
1. For BA LLB
You should have passed your secondary education that is 10+2 or an equivalent exam with an aggregate of 50% marks in the final exam.
2. For LLM
An LLB degree is important for this or even an equivalent Law degree would do. Your aggregate marks should be at least 55%. If you are from a reserved category, 50% would suffice.
3. For PhD
LLM should be completed with at least an aggregate score of 55% marks.
So, if you are applying for LLB, if may be fine but not for LLM. You will also have to go through an offline entrance exam for the same. It would be a 1.5 hour long MCQ test with 150 questions and following 5 sections:-
1. English- 35 Marks
2. General Knowledge- 35 marks
3. Legal Aptitude- 35 marks
4. Reasoning- 35 marks
5. Elementary Mathematics- 10 marks.
There will be 4 marks given for correct answers and 0.25 marks would be cut for wrong answers. The paper is of 150 marks completely.
You will definitely have to complete your LLB before you look forward for Masters. Some law schools may consider a social science bachelor's but definitely not B.Com (//B.Com) . So, you can definitely apply to AILET for LLB but not any other course.
Here are some other details about AILET 2020:-
The application will start in the first week of January 2020 and end in the second week of April 2020. Your admit card will be available in the 3rd week of April 2020. The exam will be help in the 1st week of May and the results for LLB will be released in the 3rd week of May 2020.
Hope this helps you. All the best!
after bcom degree completed can apply to ailet
HEY
Congratulation on completing your graduation.
Yes you can apply for AILET after B.com (//B.com) as there's no upper age limit in AILET.But you can only apply for BALLB that is Undergraduate course and for PG like LLM you need to have a degree of L.LB from the institution recognized by BAR COUNCIL OF INDIA.
Hope This Helps

All the 5 year courses of LLB are at par and there is tremendous scope to expand in one's career be it in litigation or in law firms or as in house counsels the salary varies. It totally depends on the practice and clients of the lawyer the amount of money they earn, good law firms pay 50-60K to freshers. it depends on which field you chose to practice be it in law firm or you decide to start your own practice
