Army Institute of law, mohali provides admission on the basis of its separate entrance test namely AIL LET. Admission to 60 seats for wards of army personnel is conducted through entrance test AIL LET conducted by AIL under the aegis of AWES. Candidates for both Army and All India Category will be called for counselling as per merit in the same entrance exam. Admission will be granted provided the candidate is found eligible on the day of counselling. Admission to 16 seats in the Punjab Category will be based on 10+2 marks, drawn up by the nominated university as per the notification issued by Govt. of Punjab.

National Law University, Delhi is the only NLU which conducts its own law entrance exam – All India Law Entrance Exam 2019. Each year approximately 17, 054 candidates appear for the BA LLB whereas 1095 candidates appear for LLM entrance exams through AILET.

Its a good question. Most of students follow coaching institutions for any kind of exam. but it is not necessary to clear any exam.

If you can do self studies then it is not important to get coaching for CLAT and AILET, but coaching institutions guide you to how to manage time for solving paper in less time or how to solve some tricky questions or what sequence to follow. These things give benifits in exams.

So its depends on you if you can manage on your own then its not important to get 1 year coaching.
