Its a good question. Most of students follow coaching institutions for any kind of exam. but it is not necessary to clear any exam.

If you can do self studies then it is not important to get coaching for CLAT and AILET, but coaching institutions guide you to how

See you are so much confused about which college should you join but you don't need to worry. 

I would suggest that first you should make clear which way you wanna go . JEE or CUSAT.

For JEE you gave three options , nit Trichy, nit Surathkal and nit Warangal.
